Childhood Memory!
When I was a young lad I remember my favorite toys, show, and Atari 2600 Game were Ghostbusters! I was in love with this show. Here is the old show intro The Real Ghostbusters TV Intro I remember hearing that they made the TV show cartoon from the movie. And would beg my parents to get this movie for me. I couldn’t see it until I turned 9 I was so crushed. I remember I had all the action figures. Egon was the hardest to find at any toy store. They were always sold out of him. I had the ghostbusters hq where you could put slime on the top and it would run down slowly and it was great coolness. I remember before I got this why did the action figures have holes in their feet. It was because the pole they slide down in the HQ had pegs for the holes in the feet I was like sweet! I spent hours and hours playing with these toys. I remember going over to the kids house across the street and we would watch it every day at 4:30pm and it was an obsession. We had the car and the proton packs and we would dress up and run around the neighboor hood putting out ghost traps.
Ahh being young I miss those days. I remember the first time I saw the movie I didn’t really understand it. But I watch it on a semi frequent basis now when it’s on TV or when I have the desire to pop in the DVD.
But just thought I would share a bit of my childhood obession with the ghostbusters when I was younger. Sometimes we forget about stuff like that. I must say though cartoons back then will never match what they are now. I used to really love The Jetsons, Inspector Gadget, Super Mario Brothers Super Show. They all were awesome!

Just happened to stumble on your blog! Something I typed in google got me here!
I loved Ghost Busters when I was growing up too! Never missed a epsisode, and loved the movie. Wish I had it on dfvd, bettter go look for it!
Tho i loved GB’s I have to say that the Flintstones were my favorite cartoon and the Jetson’s I love that movie where its the Jetsons back in time and Flintstones in the furutres lol
Ahhhh I’m going to stop talking now…some random girl on your blog talking about cartoons lol
Anyways, thanks for letting me ramble!
Yes Jetsons Meet the Flintstones Great Movie. I saw it on TV I don’t think it ever hit the theater.
You can pick the 20th Anniversay DVD up at most stores for under $15. What did you type in google to get here.
I remember my brother being into the whole ghostbusters thing. He even had the ghostbusters tighty whities… not that he would want me posting that for the world to see… but oh well.
I think the jetsons was one of my least favorite cartoons actually. I’m just not into the whole space and robots stuff.
Ah well, to each their own. =)
guess whose blog shows up in msn search
Jetsons as a small boy was all about Judy lol.
Last few searches from MSN have all been from The Killers Somebody Told Me and the Bainbridge Island Lynwood Theater.
Did you ever see the Super Mario Brothers Movie with John Leguizamo as Luigi? It was bad ass.
Yeah the super mario brothers movie I remember reading about it in Nintendo Power and thinking OMG I have to see It. I used to have a picture of the stars sitting around on old school gameboys playing each other over a link cable.
I remember seeing the very last showing around 10pm on a Saturday Night with my sister and my dad. At the Silverdale Movie Theater. If I recall it was the one in the west side corner Theater #8 or 9 I forgot how many screens that theater has.
Good Times.
