In Search of Alcohol

Quick Summary After the show on our quest around Seattle at Night for some Alcohol.

Quick Note we were all walking out of the paramount. And these girls were in an apartment building they had to have been like 13 and 15 and all they guys were shouting. “Show your Tits” They would grab them and shake but no top was ever removed. Some guy yelled out “attention whore” We all had a laugh and they shouted back “Fuck You” and they left. That was a good time. There was a weird vibe in the air. 2756 guys were all in this theater and 2 women. All the guys were just running on this total Testosterone High and you could just feel it in the air. Tom Leykis had been talking about this shirt he came up with that would piss off so many people it was going to be the shirt of shirts. When I saw it I couldn’t believe how lame it was. I was expecting to be blown away like have to have it shirt. For $25 all it had was the Boys Night Out Seattle Artwork and on the back “I Left the Bitch at Home” not amazing to me.

But I will have an audio commentary of all my thoughts from the show and post that later. Anways thanks for making a pit stop at blogger.tristanpipo.com

Intermission at Boys Night Out

Intermission at Boys Night Out

I thought it was so funny show takes a break and everyone runs to the bar. The Guys we were sitting around on our left were these two guys and they didn’t laugh once. That either tells me they are gay or easily offended. The guys on our right were these Asian guys from British Columbia. They had the smallest digital camera I have ever seen.

Before, Break and After the show they had this DJ. DJ LadyTribe All me and Preston were thinking was that she sucked. Then I got to thinking a bit more. Most guys don’t want to listen to Hip Hop it made the girls that were just there to look at which was an odd experience being able to just stare and not feel bad about it. But I think everyone around me would had enjoyed some famous rock band or maybe not so famous doing rock over this crap. She was a horrible DJ and her website doesn’t say much.

But comedians were awesome. I liked how Tom’s introduction was talking about how Comedians didn’t like doing the Comedy Club Circuit because they have to deal with the managers telling them to tone the show down. They might offend people. But doing Boys Night Out they can do comedy for all guys without worrying about offending the women. So they were brutal and the result was just guys being guys and we were laughing our asses off.

Outside the Paramount for Boys Night Out

Now this was an experience. Standing outside watch the 100.7 Buzz booth setup and cops walking around. The view of a slutty dressed girl that was trying to get in the front instead of the back was common. It was kinda crazy to get a feel for the crowd. I did see one woman who was dressed as a man. She had short hair and was wearing a hoodie you could tell she had breasts and walked like a woman does.

The greatest was seeing two boys around the ages of 8 and 10. Good Times.

Tonight Is the Night!

Well Just got off work going to shower change clothes go drop off a DVD and then catch the Ferry. Meeting up with Preston and going to go hit a few bars grab a few drinks and go check out the Paramount. The recording of the show is goign well. We are up to 35 mins and 31.4MB I will edit out all the commercials and so forth and it will be great.

Audio Tests

I was playing around this morning in Garageband and found this track editor called Vocal Reflection. And hearing this back reminds me what I would sound like if I was that announcer guy at a Drag Race or a D-Derby with that huge echo effect. Pretty cool stuff.

Want to check out my test Voice Test - Echo

Enjoy.

Tom Leykis - Boys Night Out on Friday

Well I am going for something along the lines of the Star Wars Movie Event but I have a few extra things in mind. So here is all the nerdizary. Clever play on words like Wizardy mwa ha ha.

Anyways me and Preston are going to the event on Friday. This is what the blogging experience will be like.

1. I will be recording on my laptop Friday’s Tom Leykis Show and will edit it out all the commercials from his show and post the interesting bits here relating to Boys Night Out.
A. Subtopic A =) Since I will be recording from FM Radio I will run a Mini Stereo Jack from the headphone port on my boom box to my laptop and using Audio HiJck Pro I will record in 160Kbps MP3. Export that MP3 file to Garageband and then split the track where necessary and cutout the commercials and then scan for the pieces of his show and then Split the GarageBand Track and then Export the Garageband clip to iTunes. Convert it from AIFF To MP3 and then open it up in Audacity for a bit more Cut and Paste setup for What I want. Then I want and post them here.
2. I will be Phone Blogging in Feedback and the Waiting in Line Experience and the hilartity of everything as often as possible.
3. We should have a digital camera around take some pictures.

So I should have the total summary and reviews, pictures, and audio up Sunday but I will shoot for Saturday. This will be my attempt at trying to share that experience with everyone. That is not going or is going to Ollies Show.

Anyways Thanks for Reading. If your going to be at the Seattle Boys Night Out Show drop me an e-mail Tristan@tristanpipo.com

Peace Out!

First Time Drinking!

Post # 466 figured I would backtrack to October of 2003 when I go to take a trip to NYC to visit Sirius Satellite Radio HQ. This was one of the most fun trips I had ever taken. Got to stay in a nice hotel and see all the sights of NY that we had time for. But anyways my first experience drinking to get drunk.

I am a moderator at SiriusBackstage.com which is the #1 and only Sirius Satellite Radio Fan Site. And we got offered a trip to go out to NYC to meet with the people at Sirius which was awesome in itself.

So after a day ties and handshakes and laughing we went out to dinner in little Italy. I was 20 at the time and sitting around the table with Jeff, Ryan, Dave, Sterling, Me, Tom, John, and some other people from the Sirius Crew they brought over wine. I being the youngeset of the group said I was to young to drink but they just started to pour me this red wine.

And I had a glass and then another glass and another glass. I was feeling happy and enjoying the meal and just having a drunk good time. So we are all a bit drunk and we decide that hey lets go hang out. So I was sharing a room with Sterling at the time and we decide hey lets go ride the subway.

So we stumble out of the Hotel and down into the Subway since we were in Times Square we just crossed the street and down into the subway. And we get on there and sitting there going to whereever this subway happened to take us which was out to Queens in the middle of the night. So we are thinking “Shit Shit we need to get out of here” then we said “Back to Times Square” So we ran down the platform down the stairs back up the other side and were standing there trying to act not drunk.

We see this group of black guys all break dancing around a boombox. I thought this was to cliché and we had to check it out. So we walk over and they are all saying Hello and we are all freaking out trying to figure out why we walked over there and we just started to dance hoping we wouldn’t get stabbed. And they were all cool about it and the train came back and we said Laters and went back to Times Square.

We strolled into Virgin Records and Paul Van Dyk was mixing live for the release of his new record at the time Reflections and according to the recipt I was the 6th person to buy it. =)

So then we went back to the hotel and crashed. Next day we were at Sirius and Paul Van Dyk himself was there and I got him to sign my copy of his new CD. And called Ollie and was like Boo Ya I got to meet Paul Van Dyk and you didn’t so life went on. And that was my first drinking experience.

Another Show Down

Well last showdown we had was in January between Ollie an the Brawny Man. I added that post to the Best of along with the Worst Day Ever and Cookie Girl.

So I thought it was time for another showdown of the friend versus the celeberity. This one is between my lovely newly 21 year old friend Andrea and by the team of twins that can chew gum like there is no Tomorrow! THE DOUBLEMINT TWINS!

So lets start off by a crappy screen grab of the doublemint twins.

The challeneger Andrea is a 21 year old female living in the great state of WA. I met her online trying to hookher up with Ollie and failed and we remain close as friends.

I leave it up to the blogging world to be the judge.
