The Podcast World and the Party of WTF

I am house sitting Ollie's Pad till September 1st and I haven't been really keeping up on the blog updates and the hits are suffering. I think the worst day ever blog post is 96% done.

Some trips into the void of oddity. So lets get this all explained I have been a podcast addict since I first saw the Apple WWDC and they had a demo of iTunes 4.9 and they had the Adam Curry Podcast who is the podfather and got addicted to this whole idea.

So when iTunes 4.9 came out I was all over podcasts. I currently subscribe to quite a few.

The Bitterest Pill

The podfinder podcast is just a show about podcasts that you should check out and I give every single one of them a listen. And the last podcast in Podfinder IV they had this Podcast called the PodPrincess so I was like this is odd so I checked it out. And she was talking about how some black eyed peas song was edited so I sent her an e-mail like No Way and showed her some linkage and that was taken care of. And then her next show my name was put in a shoutout in the podcast. So you can hear my name in show #4 at the end. And then she put my name on her site Pod Princess Map All this for sending a small email correction. Crazy Times.

Anyways that was one incident. But last night Jason came over to Ollies and we were hanging out and we were thinking you know what we should probably hang out with some females so he made a call and there was a party that some people he used to work with were having. We show up and the median age was about 19. And mostly females and after about 20 mins of introductions to people I got a feel for the crowd and not one person besides Jason I really knew that well. Then D-Bot showed up good to see that chum again.

So anyways back to the topic at hand I wasn't really in the mood to drink the bitch beer they had to drink and the alternative was Bud Light I can't say I like any of these options so I decided to drink the Diet Coke with Splenda which was just blah. But anyways I was just kinda making the social rounds just seeing if I was wrong in the prejudgements I made from shaking hands and speaking with people. But the females were just beyond insane. I think it's something in the water around here that can cause flakiness or these outbursts of drama. I discovered one girl was 18 and had a kid and she was at a party drinking. Who is taking care of this kid? I just don't get this and she was talking about how much of a jerk the guy was. Well if he was a jerk why the hell did you sleep with him I was thinking. But eh rather keep my mouth shut about this and just blog to my visitors. She was dating this new guy from what I gathered at the party who had the hots for this girls roommate. And that let to all kinds of drama, yelling, threatning to kill each other. I won't get how this young woman who still acts like a child will raise a productive member of society if she is not one herself.

There was a large amount of drama in the air. Then this other couple broke up and this girl who I had no clue who she was but Jason did was pouring her heart and soul out to us. All I could think if your not mature or adult enough to trust the person you are with why are you with them. Just cut your losses and get out now you are better off. But I kept my mouth shut I really doubt this 18 year old wanted to hear that. Jason was being the comfort dude but I really had nothing to say because I didn't know this girl.

I don't recall every being around these types of situations when I was 18. But as they say water seeks it's own level and I was always hanging with the people that never caused that kind of drama. With that tension in the air it just kills a party. But Jason wanted to stay and we were there until about 4-5am I was just at the point get me out of here. But that seems to be a trend I notice with Jason at the gym he likes to workout just a little bit but he enjoys these types of parties lol. Oh well all good still a great friend.

Anyways that is all I have to say about that. Time to jump in the hot tub relax get up early go to the gym and tomorrow going to go see the grandma. Haven't seen her in a while figured would be a nice suprise.
