Yahoo gets Schooled in the Search World
Yahoo Passes Google in Total # of Searchable Items
When I saw this I was thinking no way. 98% of my Search Engine Hits are from google. The rest are from Yahoo,MSN,Excite and all the other search engines nobody cares about.
So the university of Illinois ran a test and found out that these claims that Yahoo made are false. Article Here

"Based on the data created from our sample searches, this study concludes that a user can expect, on average, to receive 166.9% more results using the Google search engine than the Yahoo! search engine. In fact, in the 10,012 test cases we ran, only in 3% of the cases (307) did Yahoo! return more results. In 96.6% of the cases (9,676) Google returned more results. In less than 1% of the cases (29) both search engines returned the same number of results."
I was never a real big fan of Yahoo you just go to the main page and it's full of clunk and crap. Google is just plain and simple gets the job done.

That's interesting that they'd come up with such different results. It makes me wonder if it's just a fluke or if they actually misreported their findings to look better. If they lied to look better then they're really retarded because they had to know Google would do their own testing. I search with Google but do email with Yahoo--I like to spread the love. :)
I am working on becoming one with google =). I use the maps on google instead of mapquest. I use google mail. I am just a google addict.
