Radio Habits

I have noticed since I have joined this "Podcasting Revolution" that how I listen to music has changed. I sync my iPod to ITunes and download all the new podcasts and then take it to the car or gym. In the car I use iTrip and it uses FM Modulation but I get to listen to my podcasts in the car and I am up 17 that I listen to all the time. The thing about podcasts is that you can't play music on them that is controlled by the RIAA so you get to hear what is called "PodSafe" Music.

Now most of the time I wouldn't give this type of music the time of day. But Adam Curry from the Daily Source Code got me hooked on this type of music and there is lots of good stuff out there. When I search for music that I might want to play or use as a background track. I have to go check out.

Garageband.com

I am sure there are others but these are the major networks for music that you can legally play. But under fair use rights I am allowed to use 60 seconds of any piece of audio out there. But anyways I find myself listening to podcasts hearing this music and thinking man I like this song. So I go check out the Podsafe Music Network and see what other songs they have done. But sometimes they suck. Sometimes they rock but that's a risk you take with anything.

But if you ever get tired of this FM and AM Radio band with repeats I suggest checking out podcasting. Might hear somethng you really like.

So anyways =) Another Podcast Commentary ;-)
