The Potatoes of 2005 Crisis

Well as most people know one of my favorite things is Mashed Potatoes. My favorite place to get them is Applebee's and I try to get them instead of fries or cole slaw or beans or anything at all. They have a side of it for $1.49 and it's rather small and not very filling and at that price not really worth getting the weird look from the waiter. So one night I decided if they could just make a giant plate of them but they said they would have to charge me for 5-6 sides of them and I didn't feel that was worth it. So I got my e-mail writing fingers and went to the website and sent them an e-mail.

Today I finally got a reply. Didn't really answer my question or offer me a free potatoes plate for my trouble. Damn You Applebee's

No nothing I took the time to write and all I get is this. At least when I had a valid complaint for the movie theater I got 4 free tickets. All I get is a thank you oh well they have Fat Tire on Tap for $4.29 for a 20oz. Expensive bastards but it's so good on Tap.

World of Warcraft Parody Video

Now I am not a big fan of posting stuff about my gaming since my friends are all crazy about World of Warcraft I have been playing it for over a year now and I have lost pretty much any passion I have to play it and only play it if I am out somewhere with people being social rather then in my room being pathetic. I tend to go play it at Adam's House or at LanWerX but it hasn't really taken over my life that I would need the services such as Orcuna a Parody on this Jim Carrey Film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. But I felt these videos were worthy to mention because well a laugh is always good and I try to live life with a large sense of humor because life is to short to be taken seriously all the time.

House of D

Well being the large fan of movies that I am I try to share movies that are coming out that you won't see on TV or in most theaters unless you really go looking. I am a very true to life type of movie watcher thought I like to be entertained. I came across this one when I was browsing the Apple Trailers Website. But I came across this movie from the former star of X-Files So I now present House of D from David Duchovny House of D Movie Trailer It's a large video so Broadband might be a good idea. Come out April 15th and Robin Williams is in it. I picture a more of a Good Will Hunting type of movie. I smell Oscar all over this one.

Finals are Done

I am done with the quarter and what do I get to do tonight to celebrate? Nothing at all Ollie is going to hang with his new girl and Preston and his girl. Times like this being single really blows. Friends are all playing World of Warcraft a game that has lost most of it's interest for me. If I play it I like to play it with a group of people that I am in the room with. Other then that I hate playing it by myself.

So if anyone wants to hang out give the cell a ring I am totally open for anything.

Star Wars

Well while I am waiting for the 3rd one to come out on May 19th I was passed along this link Star Wars Episode III Spoiler I have not viewed this link because I an told it is nothing but the plot and pictures of everything up until Darth Vader comes. Now the question I have been asking myself is if I want to look at this and see the storyline or if I should just wait until May 19th one day before my 22nd Birthday.

I am excited for the movie and can't wait to see it. Do I want to spoil it now? View the link if you don't care about Star Wars.

I saw Man of the House Last Night. I will give that movie a 4 at best out of 10. But it will hit that 12-15 year old market of teenagers perfectly.

Weekend Update with Tristan Pipo

Well it's not midnight and I am Tristan Pipo. But anyways weekend plans well I am going to go see a movie tonight I don't know what because I have yet to go to Fandango to see what is playing and where and when. But I know that's what I am going to do tonight. Perhaps if the night is still young might go shoot some pool. I suck at pool but it is something different then me being a geek and driving around snooping on wireless networks seeing what the locals have up to share because they don't know how to secure a wireless network.

I woke up this morning and I thought about this page I had seen a long time ago. It was called Sex Tips for Geeks I know a lot of my fellow friends that visit this site might like to give this article a read since we are all a "Geek" in some way. Look at my nerd Score that is way to high. I read Wiki most girls would classify me into the Kingdom of Geekhood and therefor UnDateable. Always up for a little friendly advice perhaps.

Saturday I figured I would go join Ollie and hang out with his new girl see what she is all about. Play the 3rd wheel. But a 3rd wheel is always useful provides more balance then two. And when your just learning someone new it can help. I find that friends girlfriends will always try to get to know me better because my close Friends. Preston, Darin and Ollie I have known for way to long and know more about them sometimes then they do. I have been called the hub of information anyone who wants to know what is going on and where with who they seem to call me. It can suck being asked where other people are but good to know people want to talk to me.

I got told by a friend of mine she liked hanging out with me because I am a good guy and that when she does she always learns something new. Thank you Wiki for filling my head with all kinds of useless facts and I read Slashdot and Fark and Drudge Report so I keep up with most of the news.

Anyways quick day of casual Friday and then I declare this weekend a go for launch.

I love Wiki I like to go there and just hit Random Page and read that article and will do that for 30 mins or so. And my friends say I know to many useless facts. At least I always have something to talk about. ;-)

Everyone Needs an iPod

Everybody needs one of these it saves you from having to deal with FM radio when your riding in a car that does have Satellite Radio. It lets you step into your own musical world being able to listen to any song on the fly. Plus it plays songs from the iTunes Music store which is something I love. I love being able to get the highest quality song from iTunes and then load it into Final Cut Pro and then put the audio on the part of the film I would like to use it in. Or I can drag it into DVD Studio Pro and then make a surround sound mix of the song. Not very well mind you but I can.

20GB, 40GB for the iPod is the music it can hold 40GB is about 10,000 songs =). Then there is the iPod Photo, iPod Mini. iPod Shuffel and the U2 Special Edition iPod. I have the 40GB 4th Gen iPod holds nearly all my music. I would like to get the 1GB iPod Shuffel but oh well.

Good Weekend

What a good weekend my friend Jason came back to town and another new friend I got to have dinner and a movie with her that was a good time. It was good to get out with someone that I get along with really well. Though I felt that I was really shy and I hope I didn't ruin anything. But oh well good times were had by all. She got to try some good Thai Food and we saw Hitch.

Friday we did Rock n Bowl for Jason's Birthday. I suck at Bowling and they changed my name from Tristan to the Donn on the screen. I like having this new Godfather Nickname thanks Rachel for that. We called Ollie Brawny Man. Mike R was Right Arm.. Jason had many names.. B Day Boy, Captain Planet, Evil Homer, Captain Birthday. Tara came she was Blondie, Then Brownie and then Little T. Her boyfriend Jason came also Tara picked the name SirHumpsALot. Got 2 games in and I suck at bowling first game I got 87 second was 97 so yeah hit my average. I was kicking jason's ass the second game but he decided on the 10th frame to get 3 Strikes in a Row.

Saturday spent the evening at Dinner and a Movie hope I did okay and didn't do anything wrong. I did mess up the CD I made but oh well I got a new copy I think I will just have to mail it.

Sunday was fun me and Jason went to go hang out and Kacey came along and we called Jon and he was hesitant at first because he thought a different Jason was coming but when he found out it was the cool Jason he was down. We all went to the Applebee's had some brews and some nacho's and we saw Ollie there on a date we thought about doing the Happy Birthday on him as a joke but we thought he better not. So hope he finds someone to be happy with.

Then I wake up this morning and found this trippy link. Zoom Quilt You just click your mouse and move it up or down. It's pretty cool.

Weekend

Ahh the weekend is coming. I think this will be a good one. I get Thai Food and a Movie what a great combo. And I get to enjoy a few of my favorite things with one great person I have had the pleasure of getting to know more and more over the past week or so.

So good weekend vibes are coming my way for once. Friday night we are doing something for Jason just have to figure out what we are doing and then get er done in the famous words of Larry the Cable Guy.

Anyway no real good content just sharing some good news I had. Been a while since I have had a smile like this. =)

Sin City

Well I must say this moving is coming out April 1st 2005 and I am just dying to see it. It looks to be what the Matrix was to movies in 1999. Can't wait to see how they bring this comic book to the screen. It looks like it stays very true to the comic book style and I am just really wanting to see this movie.

Sideways DVD

Sideways DVD is coming out on April 5th. I have it preordered it will be on Widescreen and Full Screen so people who like the cropped down to crap Full Screen.

But I will be picking this up not sure what features this dvd will have but I can't wait to own this on April 5th 2005. =)

Came up to my sisters place to see her. But she is not here right now so I am in the car on a local Hotel's Wireless Internet tracking what people are looking at. But there is nobody on the network but me. So anyway off to find something better to do.

Total Geek Moment

I was in class last night and I have my router setup to e-mail me if someone on the internet tries to do anything to my network. And few of my buddies in there knew I was smart with computers but they really didn't know to what extent until last night. I deleted the e-mail but I got an attack from an IP address I went to SamSpade and looked up who owned the IP Address went to that company's website. And some dude in the Netherlands was trying to hack my network. They saw me look that in the matter of a few seconds and were impressed. I thought it wasn't impressive at all it was just me being bored.

But maybe this qualifies. I got to class and was showing everyone Napolean Dynamite and it was playing really choppy on my Mac so I opend a Terminal Window and did my favorite comand top. I noticed that gMail Status was using 98% of the processor time to try and find a way to connect to the internet when there was none. Problem solved.

Anyways if you want a geeky 1gb gMail account let me know I have 50 invites to pass out. E-Mail is over to your right --->

Saturday Night/Sunday Morning Adventures

Well I called Ollie and he said that he was going to this bar to meet this girl that really liked him. He asked if I wanted to go. She was totally hot anyways. We get there and I go in and ask for a Fat Tire. They do not have Fat Tire just all this domestic crap and some Corona in the fridge. Bitches it was Sing your own Tune night and it seemed to be Country Only but still words were on the screen and we could all have a good time. I was drinking Mac and Jacks and Snow Cap. Ollie was being his shy normal self and I was the only dude without a chick which sucked but has kinda become the norm for me recently so I am just playing it off being the funny guy that I am which is why people like to have me around I guess. =)

So yeah I felt like an ass for having to go but I got my sisters thing I think I will go since I could really give a shit about the superbowl and the commercials are free to download later and that's all I really care about and it would be good to support her even though it's not something I really believe in.

This being single thing has been kinda getting old but tired of girls who manipulate people and are drama queens or turn into psycho's or any other variety of females that I seem to run into. Oh well hopefully soon I will cross the path of that wonderful girl who will be cool. But till then I am just going to do my own thing and see what happens.

P.S. Went over to Adam's house last night and Me, Adam and Sari (Adams Wife) were all playing WoW. My alter Ego in WoW is Donn. Where I try to play the role of a Drunk wanna be mafia leader who is obsessed with cake and beer. And now everyone there calls me Donn or the Godfather and all 3 of Adam's Kids call me Donn or Godfather. It has spread to work and people there call me the Godfather. All because I mentioned that there is a small shrine to me on my sisters fridge up in Port Angeles to me with the Godfather written around it. I find it funny that something in a computer game that doesn't really exist has taken some form in the real world.

Free Wireless on Ferry: Report!

Well I got on the ferry last night and I looked for some kind of poster saying they had free wireless and I was lucky enough to have one at the top of the stairs. So I walk into the back end of the ferry where the booths are and I see someone on a laptop and it is a 12'' Powerbook. It was a girl and according to her Computer Name and her Rendezvous name was Christina Stuart which was kinda cool. So I sat a little closer in a booth about 1 row over and I sent her a message that went like this. "Hello my name is Tristan Pipo. You have no idea who I am but we both have Mac's if I am talking to you over the Rendezvous technology. I was just wanting to test this feature. I hope you are well." And I looked over and she jumped and looked around the room. I was talking to my friend Kevin telling him what I was doing. He was laughing all the way. But she was an attractive young lady and i hope I didn't scare her wasn't my attention. It was just I think a new modern way of saying Hello.

Class last night was pointless 3 Labs to do in Visual Basic#. Stayed till 10pm and didn't get a chance to get graded so wasted a lot of time doing nothing. Well I played Unreal Tournament 2004 on my Laptop other then that got my labs done. Anyways it's Friday.

Ohh Drive home last night I got to see Andrea! It was great to just sit down and talk with her. She is one awesome girl that I could just sit down and talk with if I had unlimited energy just feel like nothing is to taboo with her.

Now Hitch is coming out Feb 11th now have to find a girl to con into going to see this potential chick flick. But it does look funny and that is all that counts.

Me and Jake are going to go see Sideways on Saturday after he gets off work. I love that movie just because I relate so much to the character Miles I think.
