The CarCast Show #1.75

Well tonight is a school night so as always I have a long ass drive home. I was thinking what can I do to make this drive exciting. So I thought I would record a carcast. I got the laptop and mic and will record this show while driving home.

If you have any topics or ideas you want me to hit on e-mail my cell phone.

Tristan.Cell@gmail.com

And I will make a note of it and take the shownotes and work off that for the first TristanPipo.com Podcast recorded live from the Car. I have already called a few people that always have good ideas and got a few topics I am going to hit on so far. So if you have an idea for a topic that you want to hear my views on hit me up.

This could just be an adlibbed hell. But hey that's all good. I will take what I have recorded and get that up either late late tonight or early tomorrow. You have until 9:30-10:00pm before I start recording. If you have the cell and ring in an idea that would be cool also. But leave a voicemail and I will get the voicemail into the show while recording. I will have a process for that. ;-)

But if you have an idea I want to hear it and comment on it.

Tristan.Cell@gmail.com
or
Call my Cell. If you have the #

Look forward to hearing from everyone and look for the CarCast Show #1.75 in your iTunes Tonight or Tomorrow Morning and the Direct Show Link on here in a day or two after that.

Look at the Map. I love it

More I say! More.. Junniper Called me a Posting Maniac! Maybe there is a meeting for us Maniacs that post like Maniacs. MTPLMA but anyways look at that Map. I have stalkers from around the world. ;-)

Last Couple Days...

Podcasting is like my new addiction that and working out. So I listen to a lot of podcasts most of the time while driving. Some of them are not exactly FCC legal I would say. I have recorded 2 shows while driving in the car with my Headset plugged into my laptop. Though last nights went awesome somehow it stopped recording like 12 mins in. So I was talking to myself for 30 minutes and it will never be heard because in all my anger I was in my car driving and was just yelling at my laptop. It was along the lines "Fucking Garageband, Why was I moron and set my laptop to better battery life insead of normal while recording" But anyways enough recording right now.

Back to listening a few of the bit more not kid safe podcasts that I listen to are

(NWSF)SoccerGirl, Inc
(NWSF - Sometimes)Dawn and Drew Show
(ITunes Link Worksafe)SuicideGirls Radio-iTunes Link Only

But they swear and talk about really not work safe stuff. The way I have the setup for my iPod in the car is that my iPod is hooked to the car stereo from the dock connector and I also have the FM Transmitter and it will transmit what is playing on the iPod about 30ft and other cars within 30ft of my car can turn to 87.9 and listen to whatever is currently playing on the iPod.

I think it would be rather funny some old lady driving by and doing channel seek and hearing George Carlin talking about fencing off Colorado and putting all the drug addicts there talking about the real Rocky Mountain High! Or Soccergirl doing her tubcast about how smurfs have sex.

There are a few others I have checked out like the Whorecast by the Sacred Whore but haven't really given it a good listen yet. Now these podcasts are out there and have viewpoints to listen to things to hear and just explore about life. But then again I am the odd man out. I listen to Satellite Radio and Podcasts. I am extreme liberal and enjoy just seeing what people have to say and actually taking the time to listen. But I just love all this technology just

I read lots of blogs. My Bloglines account I subscribe to over 120 blogs and lots of news feeds. I am really into this whole podcast revolution I somehow find time to complete daily life with working Full Time, Full Time Student, Hanging out with my friends, Seeing Movies, Going to the Gym, Blogging, Podcasting I am currently developing mine and this other one with the other site that I work on. Working on TristanPipo.com and life is just crazy.

Everyone has a voice has a vision has a goal. Blogging, Podcasting, Myspacing (I hate MySpace but it's out there. I have a MySpace Account), I don't understand you Xanga or LiveJournal users either. But I am also into those communities. But I hope that everyone that reads my blog out there takes the time to sit down and think what do I have to say to the world? How do I want to be remembered?

When I get old and bitter (Is it possible to be any more bitter? ;-) ) I will have this huge record of my life. What I was thinking on November 29th 2005 to come back and read. I have been working on a few little side projects cause I love little projects. I love to laugh in life. And I love to share what makes me laugh.

I have kinda been thinking that life is like an amusment park. Some people are walking around just in the crowd like lemmings always wanting to follow and sitting on the park pench eating cotton candy observing everyone as life passes them by. I used to be one of those people. I have no idea what happened last May that changed me from trying to please everyone and getting walked over all the time. But then there are the other people that are just excited about life they want to experience every ride (No Pun Intended...lol) every thrill, every taste and just be able to look back on life and just have a lot to say. I love those older people that have lived their lives and have great stories to tell. The technology is out there to archive everything why not take your great stories of your life write them down. Type them out sign up for a blog it takes 5 mins tops and totally free.

People say they never have time anymore. There is plenty of time to write a thought down. Get something done you go stand in line at starbucks doing nothing. You could grab a newspaper read something just to better yourself on one little topic for that 5 minutes. You could perhaps grab a Forbes magazine and read that learning how to improve your finances. But these people sit around and compain about why life is so bad for them. But we all need to sit back and realize it is our own fault. Life is what you make of it. Not what other people are putting into it.

This was one hell of a change of shift from wanting to talk about offensive podcasting being sent out to grannies driving down the road to going off on this tangent.

A Picture Share!

I love my iPod listening to podcasts in the car :)

Site Tracking

Okay decided to up how the users are tracked that visit the site. They are now logged in gVisit so your location is mapped and it keeps the last 100 visits now. You can check out where people are coming from by clicking on the little rotating text on the right that shows city and state or country.

I also track with Googles New Software, Apache Logs, Feedburner, and Extreme Digital. Funny they all have different results. But it's really cool to see where people are coming from. How Google finds my page. I still think it's odd how "Tara Reid Nipple Slip" is really high on the searches that come through.

But anyways the map software is now updated so it will be cool to check that out. Peace out my Homies.

Radio Jobs in Seattle

Hmmm Radio Jobs in Seattle this is from Entercom the lesser of two evils over Clear Channel. So now just have to figure out a strategy to apply for something on air or part time.

Well I tossed together a preshow before my second podcast.

You have to be subscribed via iTunes to get the link.
TristanPipo.com Podcast iTunes Required

But if you are really nice and want to hear it shoot me an e-mail by clicking on the right hand side of the page and I will give you the hookup or leave a comment with your e-mail or SN and let me know what's up.

Enjoy all 2 minutes of MP3 glory.

Edit:Well been getting a lot of feedback that it's not working. Well it is working you have to have an iTunes Music Store account to subscribe to podcasts. No you don't need an iPod to listen to podcasts just a PC or Mac with iTunes 4.9 or greater installed. Though 6.0.1 is the most recent version. Apple ITunes Download

Being Creative

The keyboard that creates every blog post and podcast every output of anything creative I do in the digital domain comes from my brain down my fingers onto this keyboard or my external mac keyboard and gets stored somewhere. Just thought the world should see what I use. =)

The Mighty Big Apple

The laptop it glows :) I love how the case of my laptop glows. It's like boom out there. I have a Mac you users in the PC world are just not able to have a laptop with a glowing apple on it. Though some of you may not want a Mac. But I laugh at those who don't. But the ones that don't are probably just pathetic gamers. Or just not aware of the greatness of Mac.

Thanksgiving Driving

My Old Phone In All It's Glory

Well this is a picture of my old Sanyo 8100 cell phone that has now been put into retirement. It was a good phone worked everywhere got great reception but it had lived out it's 1 Year and 9 months I called the Insurance and they sent me a new one. Now we are on it's twin brother Sanyo 8100 Part 2. I just thought I would show you what it's death looked like. The horror of being broken in half. The horror of not having an antenna. The Horror of having the paint scraped off around many parts and the camera being dirty and blury as hell.

Goodbye Sanyo 8100 You will be missed. As with many things in American I have upgraded to something better.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

TristanPipo.com

Well I have done two basic layouts that I will change to match my needs all the text is just there to fill space. So that will be changed eventually. Wanted to have something basic and easy to navigate. I have another one I have been working on but it's not exactly ready.

The blog theme is based on the same template idea going for simple over clunky. But anyways just thought I would share what I had in mind. Any feedback is welcome.

Dead Puppies

Seeing that title I imagine everyone is in shock! Has Tristan flipped his lid? What's going on? Dead Puppies?!

I wish I had a shield and a mighty longsword to fight off the batallions of PETA and Pamlea Anderson wanting to attack me for even posting this.

Well let me explain myself I found this link back in 2002 it was up on CollegeHumor and I remember the link title. "Americans are all talk" So I clicked on the link and got to see this funny video called "Dead Puppies" The whole idea behind this video is this group of guys goes around asking people "How Much Money Would It Take for you to Kill a Puppy with your Bare Hands?" and we get to see what people say then they come back with a check and a dog and it's just interesting to see how people handle being confronted.

Dead Puppies Presented by OldeEnglish.org

I have a feeling that the females are like OMG I can't watch this. No Worries nothing goes bad it's meant to be comedy. If you want to post some hate comments at least watch it first. Then hate me.

Question for Podcast #2

Well I got this question sent in and I can't really explain this and I can't really talk about it so best just to show you now.

Here is the question.

"Hey Tristan love the blog but wanted to know what your desktop looked like since your computer is the center of your creative outpost just wanted to get a feel for it.

Well okay I run Mac OS X Tiger and this is the view most of the time from my Powerbook on my 15'' Widescreen. As you can see not much exciting. I have Adium and iChat running that you can see. I have Mail, Address Book, Skype, iTunes and Safari all doing their thing. You can see gMailStatus running up top along with VPN for Remote Access to my Other Job. Then my Wireless 802.11G Signal and then SoundSource allowing me to select Inputs and Outputs for Audio and then Volume Control, Clock, Power, Bluetooth, and Spotlight.

One cool thing about iChat on Mac is that you can have it put up a message of what you are currently listening to in iTunes. PC users can't see this unless they install GAIM since AIM does not technically support the viewing of Active Status Messages. Also iChat Users get a Link that will take them to the iTunes Music store if that track is available for download.

But Tiger lets you have two Desktops as a thought along with your Dashboard. So here is what my Dashboard Looks like.

We got iTunes Controllers, Lyrics, Album Art Finder (In Case I don't already have it), Some Clocks and Weather, Virtual Sticky Note, Stocks, Dictionary, Calculator, My Blogging Tool, Calculator, Battery Life, Skype Widget, And Unit Converter are some of the major ones. I have lots installed I love this one called Cocktail use it to fiind out how to make drinks.

I was just looking up my new favorite Drink a Smith and Wesson.

But anyways there you go for all the people out there wanting to know.

Moving SiriusDude.com in Favor of TristanPipo.com

Well as I had stated before some changes are coming to the blog and various other aspects of my digital life. I plan on phasing out SiriusDude.com because it was a bit of a failed project and I will be moving the site to another location but for most users they will never notice a difference.

Since most people are not all behind the Satellite Radio Revolution but come here to read all about me. We are moving to http://www.TristanPipo.com This is not live yet and just takes you to the GoDaddy.com Page but we plan on moving as soon as possible. But have to phase out a lot of the links, pictures, graphics, audio, to handle the changes.

Everything that currently works will still work in the future so if you still have Tristan@SiriusDude.com as my e-mail address that will still work you will just get replys after the switch from Tristan@TristanPipo.com =) If you subrsibe to the ATOM Feed from this site you will have to update your RSS Reader and If you view this site from RSS I suggest you use http://feeds.feedburner.com/TristansBlog as the default feed since this will not be harmed in the move and has better tracking abilites =).

I also plan to change the look and feel of my blog to something a bit better and tend to move my focus from Satellite Radio to Myself and my interests Satellite Radio being one of them. I own SiriusDude.com and XMDude.com for another 10 years. If someone wants to make an offer for them I am all ears. If you are a viewer of my other project NailsInTheRoad.com there will be no change at all.

The Podcast and those feeds will not change. Also for those of you that point to this site will not have to update everyone will be automatically redirected to the new page when it goes online. So I will let everyone know when they will need to make all the updates to whatever they need to do.

Thanks For Your Time and Let's Get This Party Started. It's Saturday Get Out there and do something now so you can do more later.

This is Tristan Pipo (AKA SiriusDude AKA XMDude AKA TJThePhantom AKA Craze15 AKA TristanTank AKA You with the Hair AKA Trist AKA TJ AKA Pipes AKA Pipo AKA Hey Your the Guy with the Blog! I Love you Man!)

It was bound to happen sometime...

Well for the first time in my working life from age 16 till now I actually went home from work early for being sick. I am feeling like crap that just came on me like overnight. I was working yesterday and was just feeling not so hot and had to drive to school and was just feeling worse I get to school take my final. I had a half gallon of Orange Juice on the table and didn't want to make the drive around again so I just took the ferry home. I get home pop some Nightime Cold Medicine and just crash. Wake up and I feel even more like crap this morning.

Some reason time seems to slow down when you are sick. Like theory of relativity I guess I was getting dressed for work and I was having trouble focusing on anything. It felt like I had been hit by a mack truck. I am taking this being sick thing as a bit of an insult. I never get sick. I never get flu shots but some reason this little cold comes along and wants to fuck with me. I am lucky if I get sick once a year. I have trouble comprehending when people are saying they are sick all the time.

If someone gets sick all the time I tend to take it personal that the person doesn't want to hang out with me. But I am the nice person and offer them soup and a run to the drugstore for them but that tends to get turned down. I mean why would someone turn down a nice gesture unless they were faking and not wanting to get caught.

That was an off tangent. Anyways I get to work and everyone is coming up to me. "Dude are you sick?", "Hey man you look like shit!" (Response: Yeah I feel like shit), "Dude Tristan you need to go home", "That sucks you are sick don't breath on me".

I am the stubborn type and will work all the time. I have never called off work unless I was really truly sick. Some reason it doesn't bother me when people do call off work for laziness. I just feel slightly better that I can handle anything I guess. But being sick currently I feel like I am so pathetic for just laying here in Bed sucking down some NyQuil and drinking Immune Defense Tropicana Orange Juice with some Herbal Tea and Ginger Ale. I should eat something I haven't eaten in like 2 days.

But anyways I am feeling groggy again thanks to the drugs that make the pains of being sick and I thank NyQuil for that. Hope everyone is feeling better then I am.

This is Tristan *cough cough, sneeze sneeze* Signing Off.

SiriusDude.com Tristan Pipo's Voicemail Number

Well it's time to announce show #2. Show #1 has been downloaded at last check 1,118 times and I was thinking that lots of people have questions about lots of things. From what is the whole deal behind this blog? Who is Tristan? Why do I read this bog so often? What is a podcast? What do you look for in a girl tristan? Can I fill out a girlfriend application?

Well I want to hear all your questions! This time around I will be taking your phone calls this will stay as annoymous as you want it to. Turkey Bowling Score!

Well I get home and realize this is really hard to see. But as you can see you see my "Bowling Alias" of Gigathor and I got X X X for a Turkey on my third game of bowling and ended up with a final score of 198 which is my best game yet. Normailly I just suck at bowling lucky if I get over a 100. But I also got hooked up with a free Rock and Bowl game next visit. So if you wanna go let me know. Saves me $15 =)

Starting Off The Morning

I got up this morning checked outu the new podcast updates and low and behold another episode of RocketBoom. Which took my dull not awake mind and exposed it to

The Horror of Blue Balls [Totally Work Safe]

I got so wrapped up in this link trying to figure out it's inner complexity. The music just made we want to figure it out faster. Then later I was thinking that 5 minues of my life I will never get back. Oh well something distracting to make your work day a little better. But you look at that and see that is efficent and doing whatever it is that it does. Keep on trucking little man with the sole responsibility of moving a blue ball from here to there.

Kinda reminds me of how perhaps aliens see earth. Trying to figure out why they do that task for no real ultimate goal. Do we really need to be doing that? Why do these people in a virtual factory keep doing this task for no ultimate goal just for the crap they complete to be passed around again to someone else to perhaps bitch about what the people above them didn't finish.

Perhaps this little cartoon is a metaphor for the people on top shitting on the little guys beneath them?

Perhaps after watching that you are wanting to call me or e-mail saying thanks for nothing Tristan.

Anyways Happy Wednesday to Everyone.

Working on something. An Annoucement perhaps the phone lines will be opening soon. As we setup for show #2

Maybe The Geek in Me LIked this To Much

Starup Sound Video

I just thought this was awesome. Windows busts out that classic Windows Sound and then this dude busts out his 12'' Apple Powerbook and plays his startup sound. It takes over the library. That isn't the Startup Mac Sound. The startup Mac Sound is Mac Startup I hear the Mac startup sound and it's like Ahh my Mac is saying Hello. With a nice Boom of Sound. Windows is trying to say Hey! I am logging on I'm doing something pay attention to me.

But this video just made me laugh hopefully you see the humor in it. Or perhaps maybe show some of your geek side ;-)

I think my favorite part is when the lady is trying to shut it off but she is like this is a Mac how do I stop it. Ahh the answer is just so simple she would just be boggled at how simple things are on the Mac.

Weather

It's sunny and Hailing Right now. Not a cloud in the sky. What is going on with the world.

For some Reason....

I just think this picture is just so hilarious had to share.

Radio Habits

I have noticed since I have joined this "Podcasting Revolution" that how I listen to music has changed. I sync my iPod to ITunes and download all the new podcasts and then take it to the car or gym. In the car I use iTrip and it uses FM Modulation but I get to listen to my podcasts in the car and I am up 17 that I listen to all the time. The thing about podcasts is that you can't play music on them that is controlled by the RIAA so you get to hear what is called "PodSafe" Music.

Now most of the time I wouldn't give this type of music the time of day. But Adam Curry from the Daily Source Code got me hooked on this type of music and there is lots of good stuff out there. When I search for music that I might want to play or use as a background track. I have to go check out.

PodSafe Music Network
Mashup Town.com
Garageband.com

I am sure there are others but these are the major networks for music that you can legally play. But under fair use rights I am allowed to use 60 seconds of any piece of audio out there. But anyways I find myself listening to podcasts hearing this music and thinking man I like this song. So I go check out the Podsafe Music Network and see what other songs they have done. But sometimes they suck. Sometimes they rock but that's a risk you take with anything.

But if you ever get tired of this FM and AM Radio band with repeats I suggest checking out podcasting. Might hear somethng you really like.

MashupTown Podcast
Adam Curry - Daily Source Code
Podsafe Music Showcase

So anyways =) Another Podcast Commentary ;-)

Blogging Again

Well I needed to get back to some roots of blogging since I have been working on Show #2 with Audio I wanted to write something. I started writing this long post about Halloween but then Chris called to hang out and I closed my laptop and then answered the phone and opened it up again then clicked publish and then my internet came on so Safari said I wasn't connected to the internet and clicked back and everything I had written was gone. But it was a basic sum up of Halloween Weekend which was just plain bad. People love bad stories perhaps it will be Worst Day Ever #2 time to break out Adobe Acrobat for that.

But anyways here is today. I went to the movies with Chris we were going to see Jarhead but we went to see Weather Man instead starring Nicholas Cage. We walked in and I sat down and these three ladies sat behind us. Normally I wouldn't care but these three women were just being for lack of a better word total bitches. With such comments as "It's so quite in here" here are some thoughts that were going through my head "No shit it's a movie theater silence is golden" the next comment I heard was "People can hear me chewing" I thought "Yes perhaps you should take your own hint and shut your fucking mouth". Now everyttime something came on screen that these three women didn't agree with we had to hear about it. This one part about the daughters nickname being cameltoe they showed what a cameltoe was for those in the theater that didn't know about it. I heard these words said behind me "Oh My God I can't believe this" Lady the movie is rated R and it's rated R for a reason. But the main thought that kept going through my head is "You fucking bitch if I wanted your fucking commentary you should make a movie and I will listen to it on the DVD." Some other various thoughts I had "No wonder your a single mother having to hear your god damn nagging here at the movie theater is not doing anything for me either" I just had all these thoughts cause these three bitches would not shut up.

I could have stood up and moved to another part of the theater. There was a pretty young woman by herself but then again didn't want to freak her out. Chris didn't want to move. As soon as the movie was over they were talking about how bad it was. There was one scene that I really enjoyed the ex-wife sent his husband out the main character was standing waiting for a crosswalk light and you got to hear the inner monolgue and he was talking about all the thoughts that run through my head standing on a corner. The women behind us said "I can't believe they let him say Eating Pussy and having sex" this is a rated R movie about an adult. Adults have sex and again the being single for being a nagging bitch thought jumped in my head.

When the movie ended I stood up and said un aware because I was just beyond angry and didn't realize it until it was out. I looked at Chris and said "Could you believe those fucking annoying bitches behind us? No wonder they came here alone no man would want to put up with that bullshit" They looked at me their jaws dropped. I got out of there and Chris said "Dude umm the movie wasn't great and I agreed those bitches were annoying" I really enjoyed the movie it was along the lines of the movies I tend to enjoy. Sideways, Lost in Translation are some of my favorite movies. I also love Life is Beautiful I remember seeing that movie in Film Study and hearing people complain "It's in Italian I hate reading" I always think that people that hate reading where are they going to end up in life.

So anyways Go See weatherman if you like a good movie story that is just true to life. It can be a bit of a downer but I really enjoyed it. It has a message about life and should always be thought about. Just avoid sitting in front of three annoying women that want to sit their with their annoying make no sense commentary.

Podcast #2 Topic Coming Soon.
