I must migrate and move things hopefully onto bigger and better things.

In a sad move SiriusDude.com was going to expire and went past due. I had to decide if I wanted to keep that domain name or move on. Through some deep thought I decided to part ways with the name and it is now being removed. So any links that pointed to anything at SiriusDude.com or at the Blogger address should be moved to blogger.tristanpipo.com or tristanpipo.com/blogger if you want to link to this blog. Or you may just want to update to TristanPipo.com since that will be the next thing to move.

As we migrate I have a new name that I will be introducing in Podcast Show #9 which got put on a temp hold until I can get this name change worked on.

The new domain is.

TFactorPodcast.com

So as it currently stands it just links to the main page which works for right now. Not much on the blog front because I feel like expressing myself with audio is a much better out.

Anyways update your links and enjoy. GoodBye SiriusDude I will miss my self given nickname. And also if you have Tristan@SiriusDude.com as my e-mail address please update to tristan@tristanpipo.com or tristan.pipo@gmail.com.

Thanks.

New Podcast Show #8

Well the new podcast feed link is http://www.tristanpipo.com/podcast/Podcast.xml And you can go check out the shownotes in iTunes if you are subscribed and you can go read them over at www.tristanpipo.com

I have a wonderful new female cohost in the ranks and will be having her back again soon. Holy Shit it's not here!

But it is Here http://www.tristanpipo.com/?p=659 or http://www.tristanpipo.com

Or you can just read it here. But why would you want to read it here? =p

Well I thought I would share a tale of an event that happened for a pre-birthday celebration. It all started off when I heard I was going to have a visitor coming into town and being the optomistic person that I can be I went looking in my nightstand for a few rubbers. Well it appeared that being in a dry spell and not having a need for them (Or so I thought) I must have tossed them away a while ago. They were lame anyways all colorful and crap. Even had a few black ones that wasn’t cool. So on my way to meet my guest I stopped at a grocery store. Normally I handle the purchase online and have some handy. But yeah so it was my first experience going into a public establishment to make this purchase. I guess I was lame and never made that right of passage.

Oh well so I go walking around and cannot find them in my first stop. I find KY Jelly, KY Warming Jelly, Woman Yeast Infection Stuff and cannot seem to find the rubbers. So I go out and call the trusty master of everything and he said go ask at the counter. I don’t do that because she was a rather old woman and didn’t want to be asking “Hey where are the condoms?” to a lady who probably hadn’t had sex in a while looking to be in her 80’s and didn’t want to send her into a heart attack. So I decided to go back out to my car and then she pulled up.

So well that stop was out so we go check into our room and then we go grab dinner. Then some ice cream and then we go for a nice little walk at the waterfront park having that sunset romantic time that is a cliché. So after that I go to another grocery store to get a bottle of wine. I go to scope out the goods but they are locked behind glass so I find a shelf guy and he says you can only get them when the Pharmacy is open because they are the only one that have the keys. (Okay at least they have them but most people would probably pick up condoms when there are less people around to judge them. So I am denied again. May we press forward)

So I get the wine and get back to my car and thinking where else can I go on my quest for not pro-creating but commiting the act safely. So I look at my gas tank and see that I am 3/4 tank and say “Oh I need to stop and get gas” So I find a nice gas station normally I pay by Debit or Credit Card and never go inside so I paid the way I normally do. I use the excuse I have to use the restroom. So I go in and ask for a restroom and they don’t have one. What kind of gas station doesn’t have a restroom. Oh well so I go over to the very limited health section and no condoms.
Is this what happens when a republican religous president is in charge. That a 20 something guy trying to be smart and safe can’t get a condom so that I don’t force people to pay with their tax dollars for a child to grow up and live that I didn’t want to begin with? So with 2 Grocery Stores and a Gas Station not having condoms I get in my car and start driving and think. OH WE NEED CUPS! so I find this really crappy store and go in and go hide between the soda coolers and a shelf to peer over the shelf to look at the health section and in the middle of this place there are condoms. So I am like finally. So I grab some gum. I must say that Orbit Cool Mint Gum is the best gum in the world. So I go drop them both on the counter and this what I would assume Korean lady is like do you need a bag? I said my Pocket is just fine. Then she started laughing and said “Have a fun night” I said “I will, I wish the same for you” Then I pointed at her and made a click sound with my mouth for some reason.

So if you take anything away from my story. Avoid Grocery Stores and most gas stations if you need condoms in a hurry. And hopefully a nice Korean lady won’t make fun of you either. But anyways after that the rest is history.

Podcasting and Birthday

Well Mike will be joining me on Show #8 and I got asked to be a cohost on another podcast from a lovely lady in Canada. Web 2.0 is coming be ready. Hey your Web 2.0 Awesome!

Well lets talk about WTF Web 2.0 is. Basically it's a dynamic internet where content of the web is created in a dynamic fashion using stuff like Podcasting, Video Blogging, Blogging, AJAX, Flash, RSS and just all this content being created by users for users.

So how have I applied Web 2.0 in my life? Well tonight we were having a Final Review and we had a study guide. So I typed out the study guide using Writely.com and then shared the document with everyone in the class who took my work and made corrections to the study guide and in a matter of 30 mins we had a study guide with all the answers in a correct fashion that was created by everyone in the class. Now using a website that was dynamic we had a system setup for everyone to have access to a document that everyone created.

In the old times we would have created a word document and then sent it off to everyone and then we take all the documents and form one document. A huge annoying process that was eliminated tonight. Now that I got everyone on Writely we can create documents and share them and have access to information and notes for whatever we need.

WeatherMole here is another cool Web 2.0 product using Google Maps API you can click anywhere on this map and get the weather and weather forecast. No navigating you just click and your done. Totally Free and just an all around awesome idea.

del.icio.us This is my favorite addiction online social bookmarking. I find a link I add it to my page. Add some tags to organize it I can see who else has linked this document and then see what they liked and just have a giant access to information.

Frappr.com This is also a really cool site you get a visual map out of where your friends are and pictures and messages and blogs all together on one site. It has RSS Feeds and you can join groups and get a visual map of where everybody is and see who is close to you and chat with them totally fucking cool if you ask me.

Digg.com This is a pretty cool idea links that are cool get voted up by the users and it's a news site that is not run by editors but the users of the site. Very Sexy Idea to me.

ytmnd.com This is a pretty cool idea user made pages of animation and music they are short and funny. I haven't really played with this site but I like the idea.

YouTube and Google Video Now Web2.0 here we go. Users can record video upload it and share it. It's made easy and this is really cool.

Now there are sites like MySpace, Orkut, Friendster, Tagster which are online social networking sites. I am not really a fan of any of these because it does not really inspire anything original it's just more and more of the same. They are more along the Web 1.0 stuff. They have some Web 2.0 features but don't make use of them very well at all. That is why they say MySpace, etc are for the kids but soon they will want more and there is more out there. The web isn't a popularity contest like these kiddy sites are.

The web should be a portal of information and ideas which is what Web 2.0 is all about. Taking an idea and making it available for everyone. That's what Podcasting, Blogging, Sharing Photos via Flickr are all about. I have lots of ideas for writing and creating and speaking and with what is our there now it is all possible. The people that choose not to do so I float the question why? Everyone has something to say, publish, edit, create, download, upload, syndicate the only crime is that you don't.

I love waking up opening up my e-mail and checking bloglines to see what people have to say or have created or what they want to create. I totally support everyone in that venture. So everyone go create a blogger account! Make a Feedburner Feed if you want to Podcast with Blogger! Go check out Wikipedia see what something is! Just please don't post another bulletin on myspace.

Funny enough this will be a topic on the next Podcast. How much more Web2.0 can you be? =p

The TristanPipo.com Podcast Situation!

Well I keep getting "When is your next podcast?" Well you are right it's about fucking time I do one. So I have hired a team of monkey's to get the audio back in action. Going to try a new into scheme.

Call in and you do the intro. Somethine witty, funny, sexy.. whatever. Movie Quotes can get lame and if you want to be featured in the intro well either Skype Me or call the voicemail line 206.973.7886 Make sure it's about 20 seconds give or take a second or two. And you will come on during the Alfred Hitchcock music.

We will not be graced with a female voice this show #8 because of some bitches flaking out. So going to fly solo with this one. Ahh the story of my life. Maybe Mike will join us or the mysterious Darin. Preston said he would be down but haven't really heard from him since his nuts got put in a vice. =p Maybe the KGB Mafia Man who the hell knows it's all so exciting maybe a cake as PINK AS POSSIBLE!

Anyways much love is sent. Also if you would like to call in a Birthday Greeting or Wish that could be cool. 206.973.7886 or call my cell phone. Which reminds me I do have a voicemail I could use... Well a few...
