So Saturday is Valentines Day. I am going to write my experience thus far. I happened to be watching the Super Bowl and saw this rather funny commercial toward the end of the game.

So I got thinking hey this sounds like a good idea. This site looks they do flowers correctly. I think I could make a great impression with flowers like this. So next day I went to Teleflora.com and ordered the.

Deluxe Teleflora’s Rubies & Roses Bouquet

They show the default flower setup to look like this.

I paid an extra $10 for the deluxe set which they show on the Upgrade your Gift Page to add the following.

I also tossed in some balloons and a medium box of chocolates to my order. Which added up in price rather quickly. I placed my order on Feb 2nd and 1:15pm EST according to the site. I requested delivery for today Thursday Feb 2nd. Well that part goes of fine they delivered them today. But they forgot the Chocolates. They didn’t deliver them at all. I also was sent a picture of what my girlfriend had delivered to her office.

How in the world does that look like a Deluxe Flower Arrangement from what I ordered above. I can go to Safeway and get a better flower arrangenent then that for what I paid. That doesn’t look deluxe at all.

The description on the site for this arrangement reads as follows.

This elegantly romantic bouquet is a win-win gift of love. You’ll win her heart with lush flowers in a ruby red heart vase she’ll treasure. And she could win gloriously real rubies in Teleflora’s Rubies & Roses Sweepstakes.*

The radiant arrangement includes pink stargazer lilies, red roses, miniature pink carnations, red carnations and pink waxflower accented with lemon leaf and myrtle.

Delivered in a stunning clear glass vase decorated with an etched “necklace” bearing a ruby red heart jewel.

Bouquet is approximately 14.5” W X 17.5” H

Item number: 09V100B

So according to this I am supposed to have a Clear Vase with a “necklace” on it. They appear to have not been able to construct what they are clearly trying to sell me. Hmm maybe there is some loophole I am missing. Let’s take a look at their fine print.

So they have a “Substitution Policy” that states.

Substitution Policy
Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers are necessary due to temporary, regional availability issues. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, our experienced florists will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.

Hmmm this doesn’t appear to be the case. You state a “Clear Glass Vase” It appears I got a dark short vase. It just seems like very little fluff when I was expecting a great deal more. Part of me wonders if I am just suffering from that symptom I had as a child where I saw I got a Tony the Tiger diver on the outside of a Cereal box only to discover it was an Orange Tube. But I feel like I am paying a great deal more then $3 for a cereal box in this case.

So moving on I get a phone call from the girlfriend about how excited she is and thrilled to get the flowers and all of her coworkers were jealous. So I feel on one front mission accomplished. But on the other front I feel like I need to fight this battle. So Battle #1.

The Chocolates.

I ordered a “Medium Box of Chocolates” for $19.99. I could probably order a better set then what they had offered but I was going for the complete package solution. So I wasn’t exactly wanting to coordinate that delivery as well. So I went for this. So I get a phone call around 1:30pm saying “I love you so great my jaw dropped I am told.” I ask about what she got and she said 2 balloons and some flowers. I asked what about Chocolate? She said I didn’t get any. I got rather pissed off about this so I called the company.

Most websites don’t have numbers to call right on the front page. This made it easier so I call them up and press 2 to get to some guy that is hard to understand. I let him know about the situation and he apologizes and says they can refund my account and someone will call me from research. He first tries to refund $9.99. I am like no that’s what I paid for the two balloons you need to refund $19.99 for your “Medium Chocolates” he said no they are $9.99. I went to the site and logged in and I said I paid $74.95 for the flowers and $9.99 for the Balloons and $19.99 for the chocolates on top of all your other fees. He finally agree to refund the $19.99. I would have preferred they just tell their delivery guy. “Hey you screwed up. Go deliver the chocolates.” I would have rather had this and got my service fee refunded. Since that seems like a better deal to me. Because I am still paying for the screw up.

So now I wait for their research department to call me. I will post about that when they call me back. But until then.

Teleflora.com is on my Fail List. I need to bring that page back.

Update 2-13-2009: A day later I still have not heard anything back. I got to see the flowers in person last night and they were even more disappointing then I had expected. I am going to call and complain again today. I feel like I totally got ripped off with this.

Hello everyone I updated WordPress the blogging engine behind my site to version 2.5. I must say the new interface is rather sleek and I can’t wait to try out all of the new features. I have been working on a redesign of the site and that should be completed when I find some free time.

I haven’t had much time nor desire to bust out my laptop and login and update the world on my life. Once I get life into a balance I will be back to updating and my normal self. I hope everyone has been well. My contact information has not changed.

But been kinda odd going from a 2 bedroom with a roommate to a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a girlfriend. Odd having rules and things being expected of me. Mostly things that were not a problem before are now a problem. Like WTF it wasn’t a problem before and now it is. Oh well there is always a learning experience.

Cheers!

Well it’s 2007 and people are asking “Tristan what do you want or need for the Holidays?” So I figured I would lay it out for the people that care to know. I also have an Amazon.com Wishlist if anyone cares to look for that you can just search for Tristan Pipo.

Note: I have multiple wishlists setup for different groups. So it’s not empty on the right hand side of the page you will find the multiple lists.

Okay so lets kick off the list for this site in no particular order. If you are a reader from the intertubes shoot me an e-mail and can exchange mailing information.

My favorite set of movies makes the jump to HD DVD what is not to want. I think my Ocean’s 11 Disc has been watched more then anything time to upgrade and replace.

Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS $33 Link

I will admit it I need some more plates. Raleigh recommended Fiestaware and I made mention to my mom and she was like that is what you should get. Now a multiple of 4+ would be nice. You can also get get different colors which is the appeal of Fiestaware I suppose. Link from Amazon.com Wishlist

I ran this idea past Raleigh and she seemed cool with the idea. But it was one of those things “That’s nice Tristan, Here is something to distract you and hope you don’t remember this later” Well that didn’t work. So here it is now on the list.

Guitar Hero 2 Game Only $39 Link

Can always use more songs for this long winter indoors. Me and Raleigh have already gotten down the mastering of Guitar Hero 3.

Edit: Old School on HD DVD $22.95 Link

I was recalling a conversation I had with Raleigh over the weekend that she has not seen Old School. The copy I have on DVD is scratched to Hell. Figured it would be a time to upgrade. I loved this movie it was totally hilarious. I was told to cross this out. Not sure why.

A Mountain of Happiness.

Not sure anyone I know can afford this one.

So that is a quick little rundown of a list. I am not exactly sure what I want since this year has been rather fulfilling. A great deal of things happened but without a doubt it has been Raleigh.

I have felt incredibly lucky to find a Woman that I can connect with and be myself with and just accept each other for who we are. It’s odd to finally be understood by someone and understand them back. I will be writing a year in review coming up when the year is done and ready to be reviewed and we get to add another month and year to the blog archives.

I won’t be breaking 1000 posts in 2007 but it has been a fun one. Much love to you and your family this Holiday Season. I say Happy Holidays if this bothers you. Well you can…. It’s the Holidays I will keep it clean.

Oh and as the reindeer fly.

Hi Marcia. =)

P.S. Raleigh made me do it.

First a Random Picture I enjoyed

I get a great deal of IM’s and e-mails with people just asking how I am doing since I haven’t really taken the time to write anything worthwhile. It’s not that I forget about my blog but it’s just I find myself being tired and not really thinking of anything to update it with. Things happen but it’s just like it takes time to come up with something.

Like that is one reason I don’t like myspace it takes to much time. I went through and purged the friends list down to 110. I pretty much cleaned up the profile and so forth. The thing I don’t like about it to find out what anyone is doing I have to go clicking through profiles filled with shit to see that Oh you got a new kitty cat. Whatever cats are annoying. They make me sneeze and my tolerance for them is usually on the low end. But if I am taking pills I can deal with them.

Me and Raleigh have been doing incredibly well. We are around the 5 month mark and I am constantly amazed that I found someone that I can connect with. I really dig the couple thing. It’s nice having someone to bounce ideas off and just someone you can truly be yourself with.

We went as matching penguins for Halloween. Since Raleigh has a camera there seem to be a great deal of pictures being taken. My only complaint about the amazing costumes my mom made was that they forced you to walk like a penguin and going from my long strides to short ones put a cramp on my style.

The work holiday party is coming up at the end of the month. Went to the Men’s Warehouse picked up a suit and the whole deal. I am not really a fan of spending money at all and that was a bit of a sticker shock when that total came up. But I will be looking rather sharp and that should be a great deal of fun.

So other then work and just doing my normal routine.

Monday – Boys Night
Tuesday – Chill / Laundry Night
Wednesday- Take Mom to Dinner Keep her Company Night?
Thursday – Clean House / Chill
Friday – Picking up Raleigh and Whatever Night

Not much else going on. Hope everything is well with everyone else.

So blog updates have been few and far between. Have I died? Have I lost the urge? Nah life has just came around and blogging isn’t priority #1 so much anymore. I enjoy it and always working on some scheme to get things updated and easy to use. So I guess what have I been doing lately.

Well Halo 3 came out on September 25th and I find myself playing a great deal of that during the week. If you want to hop on and say WTF?! You Suck. Well come find me on XBOX live.

So I guess I haven’t done a weekend update in a while so lets kick one off for no particular reason.

Friday – So Friday was a rather nice Seattle day. A few weekends ago I had given Raleigh a key to my place and she wanted to head over there when I was at work. That evening we were supposed to go have dinner with my Great Aunt and Uncle who were in town from Chicago so I got off work an hour early. But the ferry was delayed nearly an hour and that wasn’t exactly a smart plan since I only saved approx 10 mins going home. I left a card of sweet nothings on my coffee table with my car keys and Raleigh met me at the ferry. Then we went back to my place to pick up a new shirt and head out to dinner. Nothing real exciting to report on that front.

Saturday – Slept in a while and then went and had Break-unch. Then we went and did some shopping and picked up some things and then we hit up a corn maze. The crew that arrived were Nick, Audrey, Gerene, Justin, Abbey, Jon, Sean, Sean’s Friend, Raleigh and the coolest guy ever( Tristan). It took us about an hour to get through the Maze. Then we went to dinner at Red Robin. It seems like most restaurants in this area blow. But I had a Banzai Burger and life was good. We had to ditch out of dinner fairly early to go catch a movie at the old movie theater on Bainbridge called the Lynnwood Theater. They play Indie Films and Documentaries. We caught the 9:30 showing of In the Shadow of the Moon. I am a total Nasa and Apollo fan and dig this kinda thing.

So the movie overall was great I was slightly tired and had a few nod offs that resulted in getting elbowed in the stomach from Raleigh. I ponder if it was a “You took me to this film you are going to stay awake for it” But I would recommend it if you are interested in this kinda thing. I would recommend a rental. Since I doubt it’s playing in many theaters in your vicinity.

After that we just went home and passed out.

Sunday - Well Sunday was an interesting day. Walked around downtown Winslow for a bit found some breakfast and came home. Hung up some pictures and cleaned a bit. Raleigh cooked an early dinner that was awesome. For some reason sitting in my computer chair watching her cook is just a blast. I wish I could have helped more but spending time with Raleigh is one of those things I enjoy more then anything. It is always hard to drop her off at the ferry even though I know I will be seeing her again soon. After I dropped her off I went to my parents house for dinner #2 and watched Field of Dreams. Came home played Halo 3 a bit and then passed out.

Monday begins and here I am saying thanks for reading. Heroes tonight. Boys Night. Hugs to everyone and I need some coffee to wake up. It’s 12:30 and I am still beat for some reason.

I figured that would be a good way to start off a blog post. So what are we talking about that could possibly relate to that picture. Well on a side note Raleigh has a magnetic bumper sticker on her vehicle that says “WTF?” with a picture of George Bush. We were driving off the ferry and some woman in her car thought it was brilliant.

So lets kick off the 3 day weekend description fun time of awesome. So Friday I took a half day at work because I had a doctors appointment to get my ankle looked at again which seems to be totally fine but the doctor wanted to schedule a follow up. So Raleigh picked me up at work and we went and had some Kidd Valley Action.

The thing that always cracks me up about Kidd Valley are the to go bags. It says “13 Nationwide Locations” it has a map of the USA on the bag and all the locations are in Washington. I have no idea why such a stupid thing amuses me but hey what can you do.

So let me turbo through the rest of Friday with some short summary words.

Ferry, Apartment, Packing, Driving, Wal-Mart, Cruising, Bridge, Woods, Mountains, Arrival.

So we arrive at the Hotel and we make ourselves at home. My only major gripe about this place was no elevator. Because we were on the top floor I had to carry all the bags which was 4 bags. Which anything I throw over my shoulder I like to call a Satchel. If I were to ever make a movie I would be sure to include a fight scene.

Thug 1: Looks like you won’t be serving up your goods on this side of town anymore.
Me: Well is that so. Well you can tell your boss to send a body bag.
[Flips around laptop satchel 17'' Powerbook in the satchel dents the thugs face]
Me: Looks like this satchel fucked you up. Mac’s is there anything they can’t do?

Man that would be so freaking awesome. But anyways got into the room and me and Raleigh were just kinda relaxing and the hotel had free WiFi so I busted out the laptop and she did her thing of checking e-mail and all that jazz. I just whip out my phone and email is checked. Usually my phone says “e-mail 154 SMS 10-60 and Voicemails 0″

So usually when I connect to an open wifi I usually see what is open or if I can hop on other peoples laptops. But nobody was really using anything on the wifi network so I tried to connect to their router and amazingly the router still had the default password. So I hopped on there changed the password and started to work some magic. The first thing to do was block myspace. I put up a lovely message saying something like “Hey Loser Kids, Myspace sucks get Facebook” but then Raleigh wanted to check myspace and I had to take that down. So I figured I would probably want to track what these people are doing and I setup the router to use OpenDNS which you can do as well if you go to opendns.com. So after monitoring what this hotel has been doing the top 3 domains that they hit are.

1. ad.doubleclick.net
2. www.vongo.com
3. www.update.microsoft.com

Facebook did seem to be getting some more hits then myspace. But anyways because I am tracking this hotel wasn’t the point of the vacation but Raleigh seemed to be impressed by this idea. Or maybe she was just working me over. Either way she was smiling and I was happy that I was impressing her.

So after we enjoyed some time seeing what the Hotel had to offer. On a side note after spending all that time sleeping in a King Size bed I feel some regret about buying this Queen Bed last March. But I must say live and learn.

So we decided to see what Sequim had to offer two 24 year olds. Driving up and down the strip we found an Applebees your neighborhood bar and grill. We walk in and I have never seen an Applebees this packed. Full of these old people and families. Normally where I live I walk into an Applebees and there is usually people my age having a gay old time. So they find us a seat and I must say that this place fell way below par because they were out of any decent beer. After we get done there Me and Raleigh went to the local Wal-Mart. For some reason we always seem to go explore Wal-Mart late at night.

I ended up purchasing a new pair of pants, a new shirt and Brain Age 2 for my Nintendo DS. I must say that this game had a bit of a learning curve. I suck at the Piano game but some how ended up with a Brain Age of 29 at the moment. My first was like 70 or 80. Me and Raleigh really enjoy playing Brain Age for some reason.

So after Wal-Mart I was craving a Dairy Queen Dipped Cone. These things are freaking awesome. McDonalds has them as well but I usually try to boycott that place. But a dipped cone is always awesome. So after that lovely cone seeking adventure we head back to the Hotel and then Friday ends and Saturday Begins.

Okay Saturday wake up and all that is involved. And we drive up to Hurricane Ridge. I will post the pictures of that on my Flickr Account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tristanpipo/ Since it’s easier for them to manage all that then me to go around and add all the links and comments all over again.

Me and Raleigh spent a good two hours up there. The deer seemed to be like we are here. Take our picture. I hope animals are constantly mocking how stupid humans are. Sometimes I hope if there is a next life I come back as a bear. I would camp out near a trail and just eat hikers.

After Hurricane Ridge I took Raleigh out to lake crescent. Lake Crescent was pretty cool. It was interesting seeing Raleigh have a good time taking pictures of her SUV in all kinds of wooded locations. A few weekends ago we might remember that I tripped and screwed up my ankle. My normal act is to just hope down rock faces and that kinda 9 year old boy thing. But I was getting told not to do such things because well I am rather clumsy and don’t want to screw and fuck up any body parts again so I just tried to be careful. Nothing happened so life is good.

{it doesn’t matter where we are, Tristan will trip, bang, knock and tumble. Im thrilled to have met someone clumsier than me!}

We just kinda explored the different spots along 101 that all the tourists do since it was all new Raleigh and anything to take off the shrink wrapping of Washington for people. So after we spent all day out we went back to Sequim and had a late lunch and then went to the Hotel.

At the Hotel we decided to venture down to the pool and acted like 11 year olds. (Hey I can’t help that throwing a ball across the pool and dunking each other is a good time =) )

We then decided to go check out the Casino see if they had anything exciting going on down there. When we were driving down to the Casino there was this billboard that said they had a Steak Dinner for $6.95 which had me excited because well what Red Blooded American Male doesn’t like a good steak. When we get into the Casino we were going to do some dancing but it turns out the wanted $25 to go dancing. Every other Casino they usually have a free club and scene and charge you for drinks. But that wasn’t the case here since Sequim isn’t really much of a young persons town. It’s more of an area for camping. But the thought never occurred to me to go find a campfire to go chill at. So it rolls around to 11pm and I am starving and so is the beautiful Raleigh. So we go check out the restaurant at the Casino and we get the dinner menu but since 11pm ticket over they snatch the Dinner menu away from us and give us the lunch menu. Man I wanted that chicken cordon blue so instead I get the chicken friend chicken which was good but not really what I wanted. Raleigh had some Asian Chicken Salad thing that I really thought was pretty tasty. That Wasabi dressing was awesome. So after that we pretty much ninja sneak out of there.

Sunday morning we lazily get out of bed and decide to check out the local costco. On a Sunday morning, not to mention the day before a holiday, a Seattle costco is insane. However in Sequim, Costco is almost like a business you hope can survive because there were so few people there. After a delicious costco lunch, we headed to dungeness spit. A few quick photos and we were on our way back to Tristan’s. We ended up taking a nap and basking in the warm afternoon sun. Nick and Audrey called to see what we were up to, so we headed on over to The Olive Garden for a fabulous meal with friends. Now Olive Garden you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Scampi. Raleigh had some noodle thing but for me you can’t beat the Chicken Scampi I never order anything else. It’s heaven. It’s amazing. After the Olive Garden showdown of wits with Nick and Audrey. We went to a late night showing of Hairspray which we both enjoyed. Now Hairspray is a musical and being of male origin I ponder why I like this film. It’s enjoyable in pretty much every fashion. John Travolta gave Raleigh the creeps as a woman, but overall he really pulled it off.

Overall weekend rating A+. Next Mini Vacation is in the Works.

This is a Raleigh and Tristan Blog Post. =)

So last Tuesday I went to the Halo 3 Preview Event at the Seattle IMAX Theater located at the Pacific Science Center which is just up the hill from my work. It was a hell of a hike up the hill especially with my ankle still in pain but hey I managed.

The girlfriend wanted to come and I got my buddy Greg from work and his girlfriend to go as well. I didn’t figure there would be a huge line for this so when I got up to Seattle Center I just sat at the fountain. But after about an hour or so I walked over to check out the happenings and noticed there was already a line. So being there solo I got in line and found myself standing next to some folks that were a great deal geekier then I. But we all found a common bond over Nintendo DS Wireless and I played some dancing game with some girl while standing in line. It was all in Japanese and made no sense to me. But I figured I better stop before her older brother of 15 tried to start something with me.

Shortly afterwards Greg and his new girlfriend decided to arrive and I finally have some company. So pretty much from this point on until 9pm is just witty banter about anything and everything. I did get to brag a bit about how I scored George Carlin tickets. =)

So 9pm rolls around and I am pondering where Raleigh is since she hasn’t arrived. So I give her a ring and she is at the store getting drinks. I must give her some props on the amazingly awesome factor of coolness. I really like her.

So she comes walking up as we just start going in. She gets the bonus of being 50th or so in line with us and not having to wait. I wish I could be so lucky .

So we pretty much go from waiting outside to going to wait inside where it is hot. I must say anything over 70F is just to hot. I guess it was from that working in the freezer and walking to work in the cold before that got me spoiled with the coldness.

So it was rather amusing that Me and Raleigh and Greg and his Woman were the only dudes in line with what appeared to be girlfriends. Most of the other females were mothers of kids that wanted to go.

So Halo 3 looks amazing. XBOX 360 action on September 25th. If you want to be my XBOX friend my GamerTag is TristanP I thought it was pretty creative.

We got to see the COOP functions which was awesome. The level modification system and the replay theater. That was amazing with what you can do with that functionality. I give the game a definite buy. I have mine preorded so I can go pick it up after work on the 25th. Then we get George Carlin a few days later.

This weekend I am going to a wedding with the girlfriend. Next weekend we are kidnapping each other to go to a secret location. Last weekend she got to meet the family that went well. I will get to meet hers tomorrow as it seems. Good Times Indeed.

Leave me some Love in the Comments. I am working on the next podcast I need some calls. Voicemail Line is located below.

As life moves along sometimes we get knocked down. To get up again you’ll never keep me down.

*shakes head*

Chumbawumba visits channeling through blog.

So anyways where was I? Okay Sunday I wake up and do the shower, get dressed, wake up girlfriend and we hang out surfing the intertubes on my laptop. I may convert her to Mac soon enough. But the night before I had done something I haven’t done with anyone. Took the girlfriend to meet the parents. That went incredibly well. I still need to meet her mom and I am looking forward to it but kinda worried but people always seem to enjoy me. Like you! Coming back all the time to read the personal blog of a guy in Seattle who has a slightly big ego.

So back to Sunday. Walking down the stairs and around the apartment complex I get to walk underneath the place to get into the parking structure. I slip and twist my ankle. I look at my leg and realize that is going to hurt in about 5 seconds. The girlfriend says “Are you okay?” I say I am good and stand up and then the pain hits. She got so inspired by the humor in this situation she drew a comic of it on a napkin at brunch.

You get to read it from the top left to the top right then bottom right to bottom left. It was drawn on a napkin and has been in my pocket.

So she is laughing and I am wanting to laugh but the pain is like only getting me to go “Ha” and she is going “Ha*(A Large Amount)” So she is wanting to drive but since it’s my left ankle I am like I can drive So we go have brunch and tell this story every chance we get. I skipped work on Monday because I was still in pain and couldn’t walk the 2.136 miles to work and back. So I went to the doctor and pretty much got told well ice, elevate, rest and take advil was the best practice. I did get him to look at my hand and he gave me an Rx for some ointment of sorts. I still need to try it out.

This blog started off earlier today as my experiences with having a girlfriend and the toilet seat debate. But I will save that for another day.

Lunch is over time to get back to work. =)

Man blogs have really been lacking and I do apologize but life has been so busy. You figured it’s summer time. You are supposed to kick back and relax but seems like everyone in America forgot how to do that. Or maybe I saw Sicko and saw what France gets to deal with got jealous and everything is just like stressing me out because everyone is making mountains out of molehills.

So today I was pondering how awesome I can be sometimes. Then I was pondering what could raise my awesome factor to a status never before achieved. I was thinking a fedora could get me there. So I started on a google hunt and found this link.

http://www.hatsinthebelfry.com/page/H/PROD/fedora_hats/nyh-blk

So I need to get a measuring tape and find out how big my head really is. It’s not something I really thought I would ever need until now. But who knows. I started this blog at 11:30am PDT and didn’t get around to this sentence until 3:05pm. Today has been so crazy.

I just feel like energy today has been so out of focus I have no idea what is going on. Things with the girlfriend are going well. That smile of hers seems to get me every time. For some reason I feel useful when I walk down to the ferry to meet her and carry her bag for her. I like the smile I see on her face when she sees me walking down to meet her. I bought her a ferry pass.

My roommate is moving out at the end of september so if anyone needs a room let me know. I am thinking about moving to the Seattle side of the water this coming March but still on the debate on that issue. Hope everyone is well. Shoot me an e-mail or leave a comment let me know what’s up.

As I sit down at the keyboard and link my fingers crack a few of them and lets see what comes out.

Friday I went to go see Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard. This movie lived up to all the Die Hard fame. One thing that was a bit of a bummer since they had the PG-13 rating you couldn’t really get in a Yipee Ky Yay Mother Fucker. With get Yippe Ky Yay Mother *Gunshot*. So the premise of the movie is hackers take out the world by crippling transportation. Then taking out money and so forth. So it was Die Hard in every aspect of Die Hard. I give the movie a very positive rating with a few dings for no “Welcome to the Party Pal!” But if you go your entire life only see Die Hard 1 and Die Hard 4. 2 and 3 are not really worth your time.

Saturday!

So I went to the Seattle International Beerfest at Seattle Center. I made a few drunk dials. So this place is pretty sweet for $20 you get a 5oz Beer Glass and 10 beer tickets and you have music and all kinds of beer to try. I tried so many kinds of beer I can’t even recall. Some were amazing others not so much. After my first 10 beer tickets ran out I was rather golly and sloshly. The guest list was Jered, Nick, Justin, Greg and the reason you are reading this to begin with. The place was packed and it was a rather nice day. I was shocked there were a great deal of females at this thing. Most girls you talk about beer and they hit you back with Coors Light or Bud Light. But when I saw a girl drink a 20% ABV Stout I was like there is a girl who has it together. They had $3 pints as well. While waiting in line for the pints I met this guy named Steve and I was rather drunk and friendly and he busted out the iPhone.

The Apple Geek in me was like holy shit. Steve being a cool dude lets me play with the thing. I want one of these things rather badly. $600 seems totally worth it.

So we hit Beerfest around 2pm and we left around 6pm after I was rather drunk and we then went to Red Mill Burger. I am sorry to say you can’t get a better burger in Seattle then Red Mill. Then we went to the ferry and passed out. Got home and then went out for the night. I was feeling rather tired and Sunday was going to be a big day so I retired the evening early.

Sunday!!!

Sunday the Girlfriend came over. This was also the day that Me, Nick and Justin have Brunch. So she came over and we hung out for a bit chatted. Then I said we must get going so we hit up the grocery store since I was told to pickup some fruit and juice. I get stuck carrying the heavy things. So cliche but I enjoyed having a purpose.

When you are taking your girlfriend to meet your friends there are one of three outcomes. Meh, Eh or Sweet or translated Ok, Bad , Good. (Speaking of translations. The new saying that evolved from Beerfest is Delta! Such forms would be “Because I’m so Delta! or Say what! You better recognize the Delta! or That translation from Meh to Ok was Delta! Dude I know)

So I figured well I like to be prepared in such situations so I gave her the names and a slight background of everyone she would be meeting. Her and Audrey seemed to hit it off amazingly. Audrey told me I needed to bring her back. So I think that would classify everything as “Sweet” or “Schweet” the one thing I forgot to mention about this bunch is they take forever to get anything to go anywhere. We arrived around 12:30 to go play MiniGolf but all things said after Brunch and so forth we didn’t leave until 3:45 or so.

But we had a fun day hanging out and I feel like I have met a real keeper. Junniper seems to approve of her just by knowing her name. =)

The parents found out about the girlfriend they want to meet her. They invited me out to have a BBQ at my mom’s work want me to bring her along down at the 3rd of July Fireworks. I am still on the fence about that one. Parents are a totally different realm. They say I should be a bit more concerned about the stories my sister could tell. I was thinking going up on the grassy hill and just having a picnic. Who knows at this point.

Tonight is Guys Night. I have a day to make a decision. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

http://www.bitquabit.com/2007/02/14/smart-guys-date-in-parallel/

This was pretty cool and explained dating in a simple but engineering type way regarding circuits. I like the idea of dating women after woman you break a connection and that requires repairs. You date in parallel you have a backup in case one connection is causing so much resistence it breaks. It made total sense and got me thinking. Nobody had ever explained this concept in such an easy to understand concept.

But also the comical value in this was also great. Now if somebody had explained it to me in this manor things would have made a lot more sense. Then hearing “Don’t just date one girl at a time” this makes a lot more sense. Anyways thought everyone else might get a kick out of it.

It’s Friday. I had an old friend that asked for my website address. I was like TristanPipo.com I have told her multiple times. She said “It’s so easy to forget” Now maybe I give the world to much credit. My e-mail is tristan@tristanpipo.com I figured that is pretty easy to remember. I like things to be simple and easy. Because well if I do all the difficult things to make them easy for someone else I can see the pay off. Is this name to hard to remember for someone? Also those of the old school. @xmdude.com and @tfactorpodcast e-mail’s now all point to @tristanpipo.com for those that are of the old school =).

So a few months ago I posted that I was in a singles magazine called AlaskaMen and that people didn’t want to drop the coin to purchase the lovely book for my pictures and so forth. Well I thought I would at least post what was written about me in this magazine. All I could find among searches of the e-mail boxes was a rough draft that had been routed to me after it was published.

Currently a student in college, Tristan is majoring in computer science.

His interests lay in security areas and in networking.

He is 6’4” tall with light brown hair and blue eyes, with a fun sense of humor.

Tristan says he loves getting out meeting new people, listening to music, movies: watching them and filming them.

I think my philosophy about life is to enjoy life the best way I know how, by making people laugh, along with working hard following my career goals. I like the idea of friendship, common interests, ability to make each other smile and being there for each other.

I would say that being outgoing, friendly, kind, caring and passionate are important too. I do not have any religious preferences, I am a non-smoker. When I describe my personality, I would say that I am very easy going and shy at first but open up to people quickly once I get to know them. I pay lots of attention to detail and have a very good memory. I tend to be quiet but like to have fun too. My goals are to be successful in life, career and love. I would like women who are considering writing to me to know that I am looking for a good old-fashioned, wholesome girl with no tattoos. She would be someone who I can get along with easily and be best friends. When we are together we will be sharing the amazing gift of life that we are given and take the road of life hand and hand.

Okay that was written in 2005 so I am sure I am on a different path then I was then. But as I recall in the magazine the article was a great deal longer. The old fashion, wholesome girl with no tattoos line always cracks me up. I always wonder if that is the line that turns every female away. I have to receive one letter but that could also be on the fact that the magazine is in Alaska and Washington isn’t exactly the closest place to Alaska. But who really knows.

So I was walking to work in the lovely Seattle rain this morning. I had the iPod (I want to say that I typed eyepod on the first go around on this message. I thought it was rather funny. So I had to mention that mistake.) I was listening to the Daily Source Code episode 541 and they had the gophers from the Bed Time Stories My Kids Love Podcast doing the intro and then The Beatles came on with Help. I must say I have always enjoyed the Beatles. But this song came on and it totally made my walk I listened to it twice. It was raining and I didn’t care it was great. This memo from Steve Jobs to the music world about selling DRM free music is great news. I think this will be Steve Jobs legacy the day music was freed from the RIAA. I have no issues with paying for music when people ask me how to steal music I tend to think that they are either to lazy to figure out how to do it or perhaps cheap. I love my iTunes just go in one click song is on my iPod that convenience is worth 99 pennies to me + tax and in WA that comes out to $1.08.

Looks like in July I will be heading down to Portland, OR for Ubuntu Live Conference July 22nd-24th. I always love mass gatherings of geeky smart people. Always so much to learn and do. If you would like to go check out http://www.ubuntulive.com/When I mention to my friends that I am going to something like this. Most of them never really seem to have any interest in this kinda thing. Oh well, So if you are going to be in the area. Shoot me a note.

So this evening I have my Dad’s Birthday to attend. Then since that will run late into the evening I was invited to the Casino. I love the Casino you get all the free soda and I can walk around hanging with the friends and not spend a dime. I have spent $10 in the casino gambling on slots. That is all. I love this bit on Lewis Black’s CD the White album where he is like this is how to have the best experience in Vegas. Go get $100 worth of quarters put them on a table and stare at them for a long time because that’s the last time you will ever see them again. Then go sit in front of the Hotel Toilet and flush them down 1 by 1 by 1. Every now and again the toilet will backup and you will feel like a WINNER! They have killer onion rings though.

It is so good to be Friday. Been a long week. Go have a few beers at beer friday and then stumble down to the ferry. Since Friday + Beer + Ferry + Bus is an odd combination crazy crap always happens. Hopefully we don’t have a broken ferry or a guy jumping off the bridge tonight.

I thought I would take a moment to hit on Anna Nicole Smith. The drugged out gold digging D grade porn star was found dead. It made the front page of CNN with a big old glob of a horrid women on the front page. When did we become so stupid as a nation that some former cracked out crappy porn star dying makes the front page news. I am sure there are plenty of more attractive hookers who die everyday that don’t get any mention. I have sometimes debated if porn stars are just over rated hookers. Because well they show up in some shitty studio. Get paid to have sex with some other human being and then leave. Which seems to constitute all the acts of prostitution. Which is illegal in most of the USA except for 11 counties in Vegas because they have less then 400,000 people. In these brothels it’s highly regulated and require testing for STD’s and so forth. But I have yet to see anything that can tell me otherwise why porn is legal and selling sex is not when they are one in the same. You can get both online as well. But this is totally off topic lets get back to Anna.

Anna Nicole didn’t seem to contribute much to society. She has been in a huge legal battle for some sum of $550 million from some old dude she was having some fun with and they have been trying to split up his fortune. Now that she is dead they are trying to give it to her 5 month old daughter since her brilliant kid who was 20 or so died of a drug overdose. As the Darwin Awards say. Those who contribute to society by removing themselves from it. So we have two people gone. But now we have this baby that everyone wants custody of because well it’s going to be getting $550 million and I am sure all these shady people associated with Anna Nicole would really enjoy that money.

But I don’t want this crap clogging up my front page news It was even on the BBC front page I thought they were better then that. Why not leave all that celebrity crap to gossip rags and things like people. I know this won’t be on sites like /. it was probably on Digg but I doubt anybody cared. I young 18 year old that I chat with on occasion was really broken up about this. Said she dreamed of being Anna Nicole. I said “You dreamed you wanted to be a Low Grade Porn Star who likes to have sex with older men that are dying to get half of everything they own and move onto next guy and every project you are in is a failure and you constantly look like an idiot in the public eye?” she didn’t take so kindly to that. For some reason I think Jen will be the only person who has a response to this section.

So Anna Nicole Thanks for removing yourself from society. We will all be better because of the sacrifice you made.

Alright everyone. Might be a two blog day. Happy Friday! Cheers and a Toast To You.

So everybody, How you been? Have you been good? Sit down have a cup of coffee with me as I tell you about some updates of life. I have my new OXO vacuum sealing cup that is just amazing for tossing in the laptop bag and not having to worry about leaks. Got a nice medium roast with a little cream today. What are you having? But anyways good to hear you have been well. Did you have a good weekend? Excellent! Mine was pretty good let me tell you about it.

Last Friday as you recall I went on a cruise around Puget sound with a jamming concert. I had heard about this event about 2 days prior and had some questions was it formal or anything and would they take a credit card. My buddy said no it’s not formal and they will take a credit card. So Friday I was wearing my geek enabled cargo jean pants because well they old all the gadgets that I require. My Boots because they are really the only shoes you can get in a retail store in the mall in size 15 or 16. Black Shirt and this amazing shirt that is made out of the same stuff as a “Shammi”. So I was looking like your typical Northwest type. But I get down to the dock where the boat is and everyone is in formal wear. Now a woman in a black dress is truly an amazing thing but I look over at Craig and think “Fuck You Craig” but the guy selling the tickets told me not to worry about it. For some reason any excuse to clean up get out the suit or tux is always cool with me but seems out of place most of the time.

But before all this had happened I wrote a blog about stopping in at Starbucks in the AM and getting a clappy excited girl for ordering a Cinnamon Dolce Latte. Which I must admit are still great and I still order them everytime I stop in. In the 5am hour the Barista is this cute girl named “Crazy Cathy” who has this inner joy as it would seem about life. I usually have that as well after I have a caffeine boost. But it’s on my walk along the Seattle waterfront every morning and I always feel strange about knowing somebody else’s name and them not knowing mine. I should find a way to introduce myself. Rather be known as Tristan then 5:50am Cinnamon Dolce Guy. So anyways Craig wanted to meet me in Seattle so I went back to Starbucks and walked in and saw this amazing cute girl. Now I am sure cute all depends on what you like. I like a slightly tall girl and not skinny. A girl I can hug and like actually hug but not fat like bad fat. But cute. Anyways I will get into that topic at a future time. But I came in and started a conversation and it lasted a few minutes and I sat down at a table and pulled out the book I was reading and kept casually looking up and she was glancing constantly at me. Now I was half reading at this point pondering if I should go hand her one of my Moo.com Skype Cards with my Contact Info on it. Because it seemed we had a slight instant connection but then my buddy craig showed up and made a bit of a scene and seems like oh yeah he has a noisy friend kinda killed the vibe. I stopped back once in the afternoon since then and she wasn’t there. I need to build up some courage go get to know this girl a little better.

The band was a group I had done an interview with for a Podcast I have been working on that has yet to be released for a site and company that has yet to be released. But it was cool to see that crew again and this boat was rather cool. It was an argosy boat with two floors bottom floor was dancing and salsa lessons and the top floor was alternative rock and then they had some jazz band come up that was pretty sweet. So I checked out the bands first set and it was a few covers and mostly there own stuff. Then downstairs it was salsa lessons. Now being under dressed made the confidence factor of going up to a nicely dressed girl a little difficult but I saw two girls dancing together and I said Craig we should split them up. So I walked up and asked and I got a Yes Craig got an uhhh umm fine. lol

So I took my first salsa dancing lesson and it was good and fairly simple for the basic moves and that was fun and got to meet a new friend that well who knows. I still think afternoon Starbucks girl has something. Sometimes I am amazing with names but it seems if I associate an object or a time before I get a name I have trouble. I find one good way to remember a name is to get the name. Then ask them a question using the name and then say Really, [name] 3 times using the name does the trick and makes people think you are interested in hearing what they have to say. Which you should be totally interested. Which bring me back to another topic about the first AudioBook I purchased from iTunes. How to get People to Like you in 90 seconds. Comes in at just over 3 hours. It is read by the Author who is British and I must say great book. Would totally recommend. All the techniques that is has offered I have used on everyone I have encountered over the past few weeks and it has improved many relationships and started a few new ones.

If you would like to pickup this great audio-book here is the iTunes Link.

So for $20 we got 4hrs on a boat of dancing, music and good times. No booze was allowed since this was an 18+ cruise and not a 21+ cruise. Later in the evening I find out this is a religious event for something called the Christian Wellness Center and when they have a prayer and all that fun crap. Do you know how awkward it is being an atheist and having all these happy Christians who think you need to be saved? I stepped out and found my way to the roof and kicked it with the captain during that lovely 20 Min’s I am sure they had below. The rest of the evening was kinda spent observing and trying to keep that on the down low. So get back into port and we walk back down to the ferry and it is the 12:10am ferry Saturday morning. I hop on and just pass out. Get home and need to Hike back to Craig’s car and I was just way to tired but I made the hike lol. I get home and crash.

It was a pretty fun evening and I totally would go again. Just be dressed nicer. Let me take a coffee break from this story. I will catch up the past few days when I get some free time today.

More Coffee! =)

I am a firm believer in condoms well mainly because I have no desire to have kids. I was surfing around Digg this morning and came across this image and had a rather large chuckle that I decided to share it with the world. On a side note I already have 1 follower on twitter. I have been pondering my next epic story-tale I should be writing and I was thinking on the walk to work this morning I should write perhaps about the only real relationship breakup I have ever had. We were together for 3 years and I have been single about that long now. So I thought I would focus on the end and talk about the Journey from Kokomo, IN to Seattle, WA and that lovely road trip. I welcome thoughts or suggestions and perhaps maybe there is something you want to know about me.

I want to know more about the Michelle that has been coming by the blog and offering her feedback. Seems like an interesting woman so far. Only thing I can seem to find is that she came here in search of M&M creation and she lives in the great lakes region. But good times. Happy Thursday everyone. Tomorrow is beer friday and that means either a text message or a buzz blog friday.

In November of 2005 I hit the 500 post milestone. It’s now January 2007 and I would like to hit 1,000 posts this year. Now I try to write things that have meaning or have content or a message or so people can sit down and get to know me better. Have you come up to me if we were in a coffee shop enjoying a nice cup of Chai or whatever and I could tell you a story. In many ways the blog has worked out great and not so great in others. A big question that seems to come up “Don’t you worry that someone you know might come here and read something about themselves and then have it backfire on you later?”

I must honestly say that is an issue and I try to deal with it in the following. If the person does not want to be mentioned or blogged about I try to avoid names at all costs. People like Jenniper are cool to write a blog about well we kinda trade off Hey’s! and Check out the Awesome factor of this! Jenniper is in the blogosphere and is connected. I wrote a post a while ago about a girl that I didn’t really enjoy the idea of her pregnancy. I didn’t mention her name but I also know she is not connected to the web in any sort of way. Also most of my close friends don’t really ever take the time to read the blog and most people stop by for a while enjoy a quick read for some comedy or perhaps a witty joke to tell someone at a dinner party. Which is great I try not to intrude anything upon the reader that would “annoy” them like Adverts or other things of that sort.

But when I write about a personal story I never change the names unless that person has taken the time to read my blog and says “Please don’t write about me” well I will respect that persons wishes. In the entire time I have been blogging I have deleted 3 posts that had value to them. Edited a few but generally I stay in the clear.

So hopefully 2007 will see 1,000 posts and probably should plan a party of some kind. The 1,000 TristanPipo.com Posts in Vegas Party! Well that should be interesting. I got 12 Podcasts under my belt in a year and that isn’t nearly enough with an average of 1 a month. I wanted to do at least 4 a month and currently I am seeking more time and equipment. But mainly the latter.

So I have been reading this great book called the Alchemist. Recommended by this girl I used to date over the Internet. Which is an odd concept to ponder. But anyways she lives in the Bahamas and goes to school in Florida. But it’s a great book by Paulo Coelho and it is about this epic journey of a Shepard Boy from Spain to Europe to seek out life and treasure. What was interesting about the book was the fact that it doesn’t really have chapters of any kind so once you start reading you can’t really stop. I had intended to write up some funny bits from Dear Playboy Advisor but this Alchemist has been high on my charts to finish.

I tend to read it on the ferry in the mornings. Junniper the whole Ferry Boat and Ferry thing gets me as well. Sometimes I say I am going to catch the boat to Seattle. Or I am going to go hop on the ferry. Or hey everyone lets go have a pint at the Irish Pub bring some coin for the ferry boat. Or we can catch the last sailing on the weekend at 2:10am. But it doesn’t have any sails of any kind. In the afternoons I usually just try to take a nap because well I get up rather early in the AM and have a 5 mile walk commute time. So that gets the iPod attention. Which I have been trying audiobooks from iTunes and I must say this is brilliant. Well I will talk about that in a future blog.

The Alchemist from BN.com

Now I am not making any coin from this I bought the book and decided to review it. I must say normally I really don’t read a lot of books mostly just for computer knowledge but I want to spend a thank you out to Raleigh for having that great few hours I got to meet you and getting a Barnes and Noble Card. Been a great asset.

Okay I busted out Dear Playboy Advisor and went to the Kink Section.

“Dear Playboy Advisor, Many women like to have their toes sucked. Does nail polish have anything in it that would be harmful to the sucker? –B.T., Chicago, Illinois”

“If you can suck the polish off a toenail, it’s to bad you’re not a woman”

That gave me a chuckle. Even while typing that I had a bit of a laugh.

This next little bit comes from the section on Semen.

“Dear Playboy Advisor, Let’s say I collect my Semen and freeze it. If my girlfriend inserts the frozen cube into her vagina, could she get pregnant?” –J.H., Montgomery, Alabama

“Are you being deployed? It’s more likely you’ll forget about the thing and get a surprise in your next drink. To preserve sperm, banks freeze it in liquid nitrogen at 196 degrees below zero. They also add a solution to prevent ice crystals from forming inside the spermatozoa.”

Man this is a how stupid can you be. Reading through this book at times I find it very interesting like hmm a section on pumping gas. Or some odd fetish. Or reading about girls that get off while umm sitting on the guys toes. But I suggest you pickup the book as well. Anyways It’s almost 7pm here on the left coast. I must be off. Happy laughing.

Well I wanted to break this post up since well it has been by far the most interesting eventful week I have had in many months. So let me just start off with a recent issue before I get to the comedy.

Over the past few weeks I have been dating a woman. She is a 26 year old who lives about 30 min away. I must say that this was probably the best experience I have ever had “breaking up” all the stuff I have bitched about. The e-mail “Just want to be friends” or the text messages or the lack of communication at the end the crap that just sets me off. Because these women take the easy route out and lose my respect. This one sent me an IM saying “We need to talk can we talk on the phone tonight” Which is never a good thing so I set my mind in motion for the negative aspect of things. Because well if you are better prepared for it doesn’t hit you so hard. Most people never get that option and I felt very lucky for finally having this setup.

But I ponder the fact that she is older then I am. She also was a single mom so she has had a bit more reality then these 23 year old girls I have been dating who are still trying to find themselves and tend to act immature and just don’t what they want out of life. Like in my podcasts before the mystery of an older woman has been shut. The single mom thing which I am usually very down about and she is a frequent reader of this blog I had the benefit or maybe not a benefit but it’s a good thing looking back now of not ever meeting the child. It was only 2 dates and I had an amazing time. I forgot how pricing dating can be. First Date I dropped $50 for Dinner. $17 for Zoolights and half a tank of gas was like $18. The second date seemed a bit cheaper. $47 for dinner this time. (Thai Food is worth any price), Then various drinks at a few bars. $9, $5, $5 so eh you can always earn more money and I had a great time.

But there is something to an older women they have experience with life. They know who they are. They seem to know what they want. But we parted for a few reasons. The main issue as it seems was the fact that I am an atheist. But I don’t let that get to me. But for some reason it seems to bother most of the people that are on the “right” side of world. Though I used to be really ashamed to admit that because well we tend to be discriminated against. It was a big issue when I was in Indiana people really seemed to flip out about it when they found out when they found out. But in an area where you have more Churches then starbucks and you read editorials in the paper about how Women’s sports are a waste of time. I feel much better calling people a moron and saying what I am about out there. Believe whatever you want just don’t force it upon other people and don’t be ignorant. Please don’t push intelligent design as a science. But I will save that rant for another day.

So in closing on that topic. I dated an older women. They totally have something to offer. It was nice to have a challenge out there mentally and it was great being in the presence of someone that had something to say.

So lets talk about Tuesday since the whole breakup dating thing happend over the past few weeks and came to a close one of the days during the week.

So Tuesday work was a little nuts and I get off work 5 min or so early to walk the 2 miles down to the ferry. I missed the 4:40 ferry by about 3-4 mins. So I was like alright I will just be on the 5:20 no big deal. So I go use the restroom and public restrooms are always a strange experience. When you go to use a seat you see the paper ass gaskets. Which I have never saw the point of. No disease can really live on a toilet seat. Your hands are dirtier then your ass in most cases and Urine is sterile so if some dude pisses on the seat you can usually see and go find another toilet to do your business in.

So get back to the waiting area at approx 4:50 and there is nobody around which is very odd. Usually there is some people waiting. I sit down pull out the book I am reading. The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. This man is a genius I must say. I added him on myspace and have had a lot of great chats with people that think like me. But anyways I pop the iPod earbuds into my ears and kinda just veg out. Then over the intercom I heard this lovely message “The 5:30 boat has been canceled. This is due to a maintenance issue. The next sailing is 6:20″ At this point all I can think is well “Fuck Me” but there are no beautiful women around and I can’t leave and the thought of having sex with what I can see within eye range was just depressing so I changed that thought to “Oh Shit” since well it was a curse and vented my frustration but nobody could hear it because it was inner monologue. But you are reading it now. So you get a peek into my inner thoughts. You must think I am totally fucked up, Right? Man okay that was a way off tangent.

So I am sitting there reading my book and listening to tunes and I just kinda pass out asleep which is what I usually do at this time. I take a nap when I get on the boat at 5am sleep for 35mins walk the 2 miles to work. Catch a nap in the quite room for another 20 mins at work. Work for 4 hours. Go catch a 30 min nap during half my lunch. Walk 4 blocks to the selection of food places. Come back to work for another few hours. Walk down to the waterfront. If I am feeling lazy I hop on the trolly to the ferry and then get on the ferry and sleep another 35 min.

Man I sleep a lot of little naps. People wonder how I stay sane. After reading that layout of my day I ponder the same thing lol. So I have my laptop bag sitting next to me and then I wake up to some huffing dude saying “Move your bag i want to sit down” I look around and we have 2 boat loads of people and my laptop bag is taking up the only available seat left and I was asleep. Ha!

So get on the boat and I sit next to this dude with a powerbook and he has cingulair edge card in his laptop surfing the next. I bust out my powerbook and we are like mac buddies we start talking about the iPhone and strike up a good conversation. Come to find out 3 lawyers are sitting next to me and I have their business cards and got a side job to go network 2 mac’s and getting them to talk to PC’s simple enough. Go click a check box in System Preferences. But most people seem to fail to read instructions and if they are willing to pay me for simple work I am more then happy to do it. $60hr or seeing some boobs if they are a chick. Which we have discussed before.

So I get off the ferry and get to the bus. It’s standing room only. I have to stand at the front of the bus. So at every stop everyone that is standing gets off the bus lets the people off and get back on. Normally my bus ride is 15 mins that night it was 45 mins. Good times. Why did that boat have to break down?

So I get home cook dinner and get to bed. Next morning I wake up and check to see if we have dual ferries again. We do but they had to shuffle around 3 ferries to get us one ferry. It holds 100 less cars then the ferry we normally have. lol Good times. So the next morning I get on this replacement boat. It’s one from like the 60′s or 70′s. It was crazy because I remember taking that boat as a child. But it seemed a lot smaller now. Probably because I am 6’3” and yeah. So laying down on this new boat my feet hang off the end of the bench by 8 inches or so. So my sleeping all week hasn’t been so good.

I will finish this story in Part 2 which I should be writing tomorrow.

Have a great weekend everyone. *Hugs* to those who deserve one. Happy New Year!

Thought I would post some quotes I have collected over the years. Not much of a pickup line guy unless it’s just to make a girl laugh. In no particular order.

I wish i was your problem set because then I’d be really hard and you would be doing me on the desk

Has anyone ever told you your beautiful?
Yes
Well they lied, words can’t describe your beauty

Too bad your not DNA helicase cause I’d let you unzip my genes.

Are u from Tennessee? Cause you’re the only ten I see!

Baby you turn my software into hardware.

Do you have a calcium deficiency? Wanna bone?

How do you like your eggs in the morning? Scrambled or fertilized?

Do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice, how’s it going.

You’re gonna put me in the hospital one day. Because you’re breath taking.

Hey, if I were (cosX)^2 and you were (sinX)^2, together we’d be ONE.

If i had a nickel for every time I saw someone as beautiful as you, I’d have five cents

This is a list form the ones I have yet to try. Though I really have yet to use a pickup line to pickup a girl at all. Just use them as a way to poke fun at the people that do use them and just get the rep as that funny guy. But anyways. Hope everyone had a great holiday. New Years is coming up and I need some coffee and some rest. Tomorrow is Friday and Life is good.

The holiday has been slow in the blogging world but anyways though I would put an update for anyone out there.
